Hey there! I had this same high pitched noise when I first bought my camera too, but I easily fixed the problem. All you have to do is go to Aiptek's website, and download the new firmware then plug your Aiptek into your computer to sync it. It will take the high pitch noise away for good.

Yes, I know. We did that but still didn't care for the camera. We ended up sending it back and buying a real HD camcorder. The Sony HDR-CX100. I have a sample video posted.
