I have partitioned my hard into HFS + using Parted Magic (GParted), but no matter what I do, the OSX installer does not recognize it. When I try to select which hard drive I want to install OSX on, it doesn't show up (only my external drive does). When I open Disk Utility in the installer, it recognizes my hard drive, but says it is a linux partition or something, and every time I try and partition my hard drive with the OSX installer it times out.
Nice video, I currently run winxp pro and I'm thinking of making a partition for windows7 as a dual boot system. Have you come across any issues using gparted as I don't want to risk getting myself into a mess with this.
always be prepared for it to go bad mate, just in case, and do you have empty space on your drive?or do you want to resize your partion, then make a new one???
Yes, I have a back up drive and have the entire pc backed up. I have plenty of spare space and thought of allocating 50GB, that should be enough easily just to play with window7, thanks again
