I was big into the 'hoof back at the start of the millenium. But then kind of forgot about them after Reveille. Well anyway, about 3 years ago I saw this very clip on C4's "Insomnia" late night music vid show, and it rekindled my passion for the avant aural experience that is Deerhoof. I was completely unawares that they had been steadily releasing albums the whole time. So over the past few months I've been tripping out on all the good stuff I missed out on. Thanks gang!

I think he's using an EHX HOG with freeze/gliss for that organ sound on the chorus. Could be using it for that sliding part too, but I think it's just sliding.

It took me quite a while to get into Deerhoof. At first I thought they were really irritating, but the more you give them a chance the more they grow on you, and then you start to realize that they're actually quite genius. This is one of my favorite songs by them.
