I also have crohns - I had severe issues - pumped full of drugs - had ostomy bag and intestines removed... I started taking an aloe and sea vegetable drink (not bad tasking - honest) and it put me into remission - I went from 50+ pills a day (steroids, antidepressants, anti-inflamatories, antihistamines, injected immune suppressing drugs, toxic stuff...) to just 4 ounces of this stuff every morning... I have no pain and I feel great... I wish I could share this with more people - how can I?
omg...... What Camp Oasis do you go to? If you go to the one in New York, you might know me!!!! I have had Crohn's since 2005, and I was on prednisone when I first got Crohns. Right now I am on Methrotrexate pills and remicade. I feel really inspired by your story, and I will favorite it and pass it on. <3, Lauren
you poor thing getting the monster so young my heart goses our to you i got this when i was 17 and about to do 12yr at school not fun thats for sure i enjoyed your video we need to raise awareness about this monster lol good luck
I was diagnosed 2.25 years ago exactly from yesterday, on April 21st 2006. It was my birthday. My Crohn's is in my Illeum. However, my medicine is going around it so I may need surgery. =(
Last year, I had to go on a liquid diet. I couldn't eat food for a month and a half. =(
Have you had CT Scans or Colonoscopies? Those drinks are horrible!
I am sorry to hear about your crohn's. I know exactly what you are talking about with the liquid diets. I was on Modulen for 9 months. What formula did you use? I tested a lot of different ones, and I think modulen tasted the best. I also found I liked adding some Nesquick chocolate flavoring to it...it helped a little.
Regarding procedures, I have had several colonoscopies and 4-5 CTs as well as 2 surgeries...not fun. How about you?
I wish you the best of luck with your health. It is great to hear from people that are finding something in common with this movie. I hope it gives you something to relate in the good and bad times to come.
Wonderful video. My 12 yr old daughter was just diagnosed. It is inspiring to see such brave young people! I hope we have a chance to meet one day. Good Luck.
I am sorry about your daughter, and I hope she has a speedy recovery. I know it may be scary and sad right now, but know that it will all improve in time and cherish every good moment she has so that you can look forward to more great moments to come.
This is an amazing video, I as well have crohn's, I found out when I was 12. I too have to go on steroids. I hate them. But thanks for sharing your story. Bless you!
I know.... I hate steriods too! They are so damaging to my body...but sometime they do give you the push you need to feel better. I hope they find another alternative to them other than liquid diets...those are almost equally as bad!
i AM A NURSE PRACTITIONER IN UP STATE NY AND I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH YOUR MATURITY AND YOUR MISSION, PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK THAT YOU ARE DOING. THANK YOU
Way to go girlfriend! Your video is awesome and my heart feels the frustration of having a chronic and difficult disease such as Crohn's disease. Thanks for educating others about Inflammatory Bowel Disease. You are an inspiration!
WOW! Wonderful job Laurel! You are an inspiration to all teens and children who live with IBD. You give us all hope that there is help and support out there and a cure will some day be found. Keep up the good work and if the other video guy stops cheating, maybe you can win this contest and your video can be out there for all to see that there is hope and support for IBD sufferers!
I was diagnosed at 25 after suffering for over 10 years. Now at 32 I am just starting to get back what I lost. Keep fighting cause together we WILL find a cure. God Bless you and your mission. You are going to make the world a better place for the Crohnies of the future. (((HUGS)))
LAUREL!!! I'm SSOOO proud of you!!! This video is absolutely amazing!!! Oh this is Lindsay by the way :P I'm going to vote for your video 3504503432938 times!!
What a great spirit you have! Fantastic video. You have done more great things in your young life than most of us do in a lifetime. You should be very proud of your work and your video.
Talk about no day but today! It takes real courage to go out and do the type of things that you are doing. I may not have Crohn's, but I do have a handful some impariments of my own, and I know how tempting it can be to feel cheated and just withdraw Roger style. Instead taken a really tough situation and turned it into something that will be good for you and others. I may not have voted for the video, but you sure have my respect.
I also suffer from crohns see my video at wayneo169 on youtube I just had major surgery and are about to have a second

What a wonderful video. I have crohns and really suffer with the prednisone. I am on Imuran and Remicade and tapering Prednisone in three weeks.
It is a disease that requires a lot of meds, patience and time.
Thank you so much for a great video on IBD.
