ive owned mk3 gti, b5 passat, and 2 mk4 jetta's 8v/ 24v vr6. as soon as 2005 came around i wasnt to happy with vw's direction. all there cars are the same trans/motor/ chassis= boring. i miss the old exciting vw.
Mustang gets V6 the same mileage as the diesel, with over 100 horsepower more, and probably the same amount of torque. Naturally aspirated too. Why buy the Beetle over a Mustang?
Looks so much better than the "new beetle" though that's not much to compare too, but it looks fantastic inside and out, but sorry, 200HP and 3000lbs does not a sporty car make.
AMAZING, noticed that many have a biased opinion of this car related with it's past and birth, shortly put - IT BUGS-. I think this is a huge score for the Germans. Possibly a repeat performance as the most sold car of the century, this time the XXI st one. In these times who needs a Porsche daily driver when you can get the new Beetle. I love it only looking at the video. Hopefully our bureaucrats will arrange to get them built on North American soil so the average Joe can get a secure job

I hate to say it but I think it's O.K. looking.Better than before anyway that's for sure. So you can get it with a "DSG" turbo, 2.5L In-line 5 or 2.0L turbo diesel that can get alright gas mileage. Wheel & dash look cool. The end game- I still would NOT buy one.

ive owned mk3 gti, b5 passat, and 2 mk4 jetta's 8v/ 24v vr6. as soon as 2005 came around i wasnt to happy with vw's direction. all there cars are the same trans/motor/ chassis= boring. i miss the old exciting vw.

Mustang gets V6 the same mileage as the diesel, with over 100 horsepower more, and probably the same amount of torque. Naturally aspirated too. Why buy the Beetle over a Mustang?

Looks so much better than the "new beetle" though that's not much to compare too, but it looks fantastic inside and out, but sorry, 200HP and 3000lbs does not a sporty car make.

AMAZING, noticed that many have a biased opinion of this car related with it's past and birth, shortly put - IT BUGS-. I think this is a huge score for the Germans. Possibly a repeat performance as the most sold car of the century, this time the XXI st one. In these times who needs a Porsche daily driver when you can get the new Beetle. I love it only looking at the video. Hopefully our bureaucrats will arrange to get them built on North American soil so the average Joe can get a secure job
