  • i think its funny you have a "danas barber shop" shirt, but you have no hair

  • glad 2 hear all is well.i go in tomorrow for the reattachment.ur video was kinda short but helpful thanks.

  • my left arms kinda like that but it doesnt hurt at all and has been like that since i can remember...hmmm...wonder if its fucked up

  • i ruptured my bicep tendon,THAT PISSES ME OFF.

  • that sucks better than shoulder injury tho

  • yes you are right!!

  • Glad to hear you fully recovered! I had a partial tear of the distal bicep tendon, which isn't painful unless I try curls, chinups, or any pulling... and only slight shortening of the bicep. Been a month... hopefully it heals. In some ways a partial tear seems worse b/c they won't operate on it, and it's still weak and unstable, potential for future injury. Any thoughts?

  • @TeamBarbarian I think you are right, in many ways they are worse. For the reason you say plus I think they hurt more. If it is bad enough they will operate on it, you just might need to push them for it.

  • @clipper400 - I tried, but I'll talk to my sports doc again... he claims there is no effective surgery, as most of the tendon is still attached. Well, worst case scenario if it doesn't heal full strength, it will likely tear off eventually ... then I'll get it screwed back in properly. (o:

  • @TeamBarbarian Use electric impulse massage things.

It helped me with my bicep tear and was fully healed within 2 months.

  • @TeamBarbarian always have tight biceps, helping a friend lift heavy furniture, n i felt my forearm and lower bicep get very tight. it has become very sore and i have to wait a week for an appointment with my orthopedic. i feel the tendon and it's not a complete rupture, possibly a partial? but the tendon itself doesn't hurt it's really just my lower bicep (2 inches from the elbow all the way down). did you notice specific tendon pain when you had your partial?

  • @TeamBarbarian If it rips, get it fixed surgically. You have about two weeks within which to do so for the best outcome. If the procedure is performed properly, the biceps should be (literally) better than ever. Some physios recommend non-surgical rehabilitation. It doesn't work. It leaves the biceps diminished in length, size and strength.

  • Bro feel you pain just had distel bicep reattachmet surgery after lifting 700lbs hw boiler... not good is right... cast for 6 weeks then rehab... wrong angle wrong press...suck get it fixed within 2weeks our limited range of motion occures.

  • Dude? Are you ok?

  • did you get surgery to fix it ???? this just happened to me and i'm freakin out ...

  • All fixed, been about a year and half. All set, no problems. Better than new!!

  • @clipper400 Good to hear that. I'm getting mine repaired soon! Mine happened while blocking a throw (from a freakishly strong dude) while grappling. Despite the injury I kept grappling for 10 minutes and won.

  • I ripped my chest once bec I was taking too much....not sure if it ripped but 2 weeks later I was ok

  • @probounderxxx if you tore a pec you would know it, 6 month recovery

  • a while back in high school our head football (6'4" )coach tried to out bench some of the players he got to rep 295 2 times before he yelled "i tore my titty" lol and sure enough torn pectoral

  • Same happened to my chest, few years a ago when I thorn my right pect. it took me a long time for me to start benching again, I had to started from the bottom all over again, feel better man I know that sucks.

  • I've never ruptured my bicep tendon before, but I know what it's like to start over, since I became ill and bedridden for a year or so before I got medicine good enough to at least give me a bit of energy.

  • congrats man, im about to get this surgery, i did the same thing=[, im pretty upset cuz im only 18, and am pretty well off on legs and cardio already, and upper body is what i need the most and cant do it, any suggestions?

  • Things may slow you down, but nothing can stop you Dana!

  • That sucks! I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago doing deadlifts. Had the tendon reattached. Dr. drilled a hole in the ulna and wove the tendon back through so the bone would heal back onto it. Worked pretty well, took a long time to recover from.

  • How long it took to complete recover? I had a surgery like this 2 weeks ago!

  • It took probably a year for me to do biceps exercises without too much discomfort. It will never be the same again, but I'm doing just fine. Back to doing heavy deadlifts too!

  • It has been over a year now. I am fine, it is fine. No problems at all. It is a little higher than the other, but just as strong.
