i'm only 15 so i never grew up with boston, i found stryper in 2008 and MBP when it came out, track 3 (peice of mind) got me into boston, now i love both bands
@vicioustrucker68...I said that the album Corporate America wasn't worth the money and only that album. I love everything else they did and I still; without regard for who is in earshot; max out the volume in my car anytime a Boston tune comes on.
Watching Stryper and Boston Together...AWSOME! The song didnt lose a bit of that original swagger ! I love it, and Michael Sweet, Wow, what a voice he has, and after ALL these years! In baseball terms...Thats a TATER guys! Home run!
I'm being mean. I'm stating a point about their music after Third Stage. It was lame, boring and actually quite corporate. I will not knock anything they put out; that's good; and so far their last effort was NOT!Everyone has an opinion, some good and some bad, but these forums are what the bands look at to help make their music better; which I hope does on the next one. PLEASE do better Boston!
I sure hope Mike can get them back on track after their last album - Corporate America -awful I actually took the CD back and got a refund. Then there is the women, ugh! They CAN'T sing for crap and to boot there was a Hillbilly ( aka C/W ) tune on it. Until they get back to their roots, they should stay out of the studio. Sorry, but I grew up on Boston and the last GOOD album they did was Third Stage. Mike has some really big shoes to fill, and the ladies should stay out of it. Miss ya Brad..
@DjJtown DUDE,, Why be so mean about it,?.. I Too was, an still are a big fan of Brad Delp. I Too miss him. but if Tom Scholz is play'in and Approves of the whole project and they pretty much nail it, Whats the Harm??
Good cover and Michael Sweet certainly has the voice to sing this song. However, this version seems a bit too "metalized" in terms of the rythm guitars and drums. Great solo on the break though!

@yitzchak13 : man I guess I really know now that this generation of people is lost with comments like this and the new DJ contests. First to have KISS IT start 30 minutes late for a DJ then to be told to stop because the kids want to listen to see the DJ competions. I just don't know.

@csrgatorfan Stryper has always played/sang a half step down (except on the first EP, that was a full step down!). It's as much about the guitars as it is the voice. Trust me, I know - once you go flat, guitar strings in standard tuning feel like bridge cables. LOL

wow, u suck man this song is great! I think not only do the lyrics rock but concidering this song is part of bostons first album that sold 17 million albums is eneugh for me! Boston is truley one of a kind.
I once was a security guard at a Michael Sweet concert. Stood right in front of him the whole night. My back was to him. I could always tell when he was back at the middle of the stage because he had on a gallon of cologne. Joey Taffolla was his guitar player on that tour.
C'mon, man... I'm not talking about Mike's guitar in Stryper... he is a brilliant guitarist!!!
I just meant that in this specific live performance w/ Boston, he could have just dropped his guitar for a while, 'cause there were 4 guitarists!!!! THAT'S unnecessary!!!!!!!
I might have not been clear enough, but you didn't have to call me an idiot!
Sorry for the idiot thing, I took your comment in a different way. You have 3 thumb downs on it which none are from me so I'm not alone on the misinterpretation.
I used to take drum lessons from Bob Sweet b4 Mike was even in the band... Never a nicer pair of brothers they deserve all the blessings they will ever recieve and i remember Oz was pretty cool too met him back in the Roxx Regime days hangin out in LaMirada CA...
Hey Bud, these guys are Very cool, I lived in Fullerton, I remember when they played the Country Club in 84 or 85, with Anthrax they rocked even though people were being dicks!!!
I hate the drums

I once was a security guard at a Michael Sweet concert. Stood right in front of him the whole night. My back was to him. I could always tell when he was back at the middle of the stage because he had on a gallon of cologne. Joey Taffolla was his guitar player on that tour.

Mike's guitar is completely unnecessary... he could have performed better vocals without it! =/

But he just looks good with a guitar...

He does solos and is pretty much as good as Oz you idiot.

Hey Bud, these guys are Very cool, I lived in Fullerton, I remember when they played the Country Club in 84 or 85, with Anthrax they rocked even though people were being dicks!!!
