WOW. Related to my favorite gamefish, the Cownose Ray. The way they take line I would be afraid of them stripping m y reel from shore!! I would want a boat for them! What bait did you use? <My Cownose taken and released from Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda Florida took Shrimp. It was about 3 1?2 feet by 3 1/2 feet excluding the tail. I release everything I catch. Way to go...or should I say Ray To Go! Sorry.
that is a nice size ray, do you release the rays doormannn? here in australia we pretty much catch and release...by the way, watch their spike on the tail.
My buddies and I always practice catch and release with all fish, the only time I would ever keep a fish is if I was going to eat it. I have even caught some record fish and due to digital restoration all trophy fish can be released without harm, I release the fish so my kid and his kid could maybe catch it again.
why do some people think they have the right to say mean things about my hobbies, i am tired of defending my fishing to an asshole who has nothing better to do then say mean things to others
hey awesome video!!! That was a good size bat ray!

hey doormann will a batray be ok if you gaff it in the wing to remove the hook and release it or is it just better to cut your line to let it go?

keep pullin the rays. Just a hint though, just cut the line if you don't mind losing your leader. The hook will rust out (eventually).

@tyarter7 why would you just cut the line if you can just pull this fish out and remove the hook? saves equipment and the fish is alot happier.
