I've seen Kalaripayatu & I've noticed some elements of Shaolin in it but hey, many martial arts have similarities so you can't say that one man created the whole thing because Shaolin Gongfu is being reinvented all the time. I believe there's a lot of myths surrounding Bodhidharma's story - he brought China Buddhism & the Yoga side of things but not the Gongfu. How come Shaolin Gongfu is so unpopular in India? Bodhidharman was a pallava prince who was a great student of Kalarippayattu which is the big daddy of all the martial arts in the world. it is from this martial arts form, kung fu derived...through Bodhidharma. He was taught marmavidya and ayurveda by his kalari gurukkal from the malabar region of south india which is a part of the south indian state called Kerala.

I've seen Kalaripayatu & I've noticed some elements of Shaolin in it but hey, many martial arts have similarities so you can't say that one man created the whole thing because Shaolin Gongfu is being reinvented all the time. I believe there's a lot of myths surrounding Bodhidharma's story - he brought China Buddhism & the Yoga side of things but not the Gongfu. How come Shaolin Gongfu is so unpopular in India? Indians are the shittest in fighting sports & football. Shaolin arts is Chinese.

Bodhidharman was a pallava prince who was a great student of Kalarippayattu which is the big daddy of all the martial arts in the world. it is from this martial arts form, kung fu derived...through Bodhidharma. He was taught marmavidya and ayurveda by his kalari gurukkal from the malabar region of south india which is a part of the south indian state called Kerala.

I know Kung fu, I can averagly play around with some moves of kalari. i dont know what silambaatam is though.Many chinese people and white people who do kung fu say it is hard. But i find every move i do easy.I just have to practise them 10x to master them because scientifically its in my blood.i have a cold bath every morning even though i have showers,bathtubs and heaters. i havent forgot about my history even though i live in foreign.days 2day suck.
