There is now a "circle" in the middle of main street. What a nightmare for truckers and snow plowers. Too slow...for those commuting to and from work. I do however like the golf course, Jean Klock Park, Trail system, Paw Paw River, etc. Thankyou Jack Nicklaus, golden bear.
Actually, it has changed a lot. The arts district (near Water St and Territorial) is booming with art galleries, glass works, restaurants, and a microbrewery. The roads are all fixed up downtown and there are only a few dead storefronts on the strip. The dilapidated old houses are all mostly demolished or burnt down in the last riot. Benton Harbor is more hopping that it has been in 30 years.
I live in Benton Harbor and it's only scary when you go to the iHop at 4 in the morning otherwise its pretty cool. even though im like the 3rd white kid to live here
