What was the height of your jeep in this video. I like how it looks.... Sorry, I am on my other YT name. I need to do a lift on my jeep and I like the setup on this one. The package is nice and looks like the same color as mine.
if you decide to get a locker get only a front axle locker if this is your DD cause you wont be in 4x4 during daily driving so the locker wont mess your tires up no were near as bad as if it were a rear locker. Youll like a front locker 10x better.. trust me. Nice XJ.
@killeremail yeah that is about all it was, just for fun and to make some tracks on some local trail we found that is not like a paved road. :( I wanted to make a video with my friend as well.
@dupa333jelenia sweet thanks. they where made by Gecko but I think they are not in production anymore. some people copied them and where selling them for a while but no more. look around they look so simple to make or have made.
@dupa333jelenia you should drill a hole and go into the cab and seal it with silicon but I was lazy and just have the wire coming under and in the door lol
does that thing really sucks on gas mileage , i mean i drive in a really efficient wise manner and i need to get this car !! is it really horrible like most ppl say ?? talking about the jeep cherokee 4.0L engine
@addictedtos10s tires where brand new BF g Mud Terrains they are not junk and I would never weld my diffs as I still drive this on the road and dont want to tear my tires all up for no reason. I since have lifted my XJ to 6.5" on a long arm setup. it is like it has 2 lockers now without them. lol
but still I am upgrading my axles now and installing a rear locker. (maybe a front someday down road)
way to go on gettin outta that creek, good bit of driving :) nothing spectacular here but plenty of guys woulda went into panic and held it to the floor haha kudos, badass jeep too btw!
its not an xtreme trail to most but it some of the best wheeling i find nice jeep i just bought my first the other day any tips for a lift ? i would like to go for 31 or 33s
@badmunkie513 good sound advice. anything over 4.5 and you need custom rear drive shaft and a SYE (Slip Yoke Eliminator) Everything badmunkie said is true, 33's on 4.5" you will need to trim the fenders higher up. If not the tires rub really bad and can really damage the body and tires. for a basic 4.5" lift kit and no trimming you can fit 31's no problem and have it still look aggressive. with 6.5" lift you can run 33's with out rubbing. if you trim a little & bumpstop you can do 35's.
@badmunkie513 A lot of people say you can run 35's on a 4.5" lift kit and this is true as well. You need to cut the fenders a decent amount and use custom bump stops. Some people like this method because they say you get a lower COG (center of gravity) but doing this method gives you almost NO up travel on the suspension. it would be all about the droop which is awesome and I have a lot of it but up travel is important to absorb impact. I could run 35's but know I get more flex with 33's
@badmunkie513 I just realized this video of mine was before I installed my 6.5" Long arm lift kit. In this video above I have 4.5" custom (crappy) lift kit and 33's and the bushwacker fender flares, and I still rubbed the bushwackers really bad because the big tires and not enough bump stop. So I would just wheel it with the sway bars still connected. If I disconnected them the tires rubbed bad. But this is how the jeep came when I bought it except the tires I bought those. then I lifted
@badmunkie513 It was from the previous owner. It was a big coil spacer with some non stock coils, and rear had a shim and bastard pack with drop shackle. It was sagging pretty bad all around as well and the bushwacker flares actually limited my up travel. Yours with trimming makes it flex like that and the lift kit is better than the crap that was on my jeep when i got it. haha
nice jeep, nice song. and i am looking to get one of these or a diesel truck, wat kind of mpg do you get with the tires and everything and is it stock except the seeable?
nice jeep man. i have been thinking about getting a 4 inch lift on my 2000 Cherokee and have been trying to figure out a good tire size. I was thinkin about 32's but do you have any rub with those 33's?
thanks bro, yes I rub a lot in the front. I hate it.. this is how I bought the jeep though. it came with 33's but they where bald so I bought the BFG 33's but still rub ya know?
so I purchased a 6.5" RC long arm lift kit. I am waiting for the weather to get warmer then I am installing. I sold the RC shocks and Im buying bilstein 5150 shocks.... for you not to rub with 4.5" lift 31" tires or 32's if you dont mind cutting a lot go for 33's
@bdaddy23 Nice Jeep. The rubbing is a Problem With the Cherokees as you can only do an SL which Gives you better Articulation with only a little bit of room for Bigger tires VS a Truck Were you can do a SL and a Body Lift (like the Wrangler)which gives you the Articulatiuon and of Clearance for bigger tires.
man if i went in the woods where i live the forest service would be all over me. but nice video. gonna be getting me an hd camera cause the current one i have now sucks. you got nice clear picture.

yeah I cant afford that yet.. i was just thinking a mechanical locker for the rear to start. that would give me added traction. but yes you are totaly right, the front climbs first and needs to be locked. someday maybe.
Hey Brian....there's no way to lock differentials? or you choose to leave it free to don't strees the gears or clutch? maybe is this reason due the fact you have big and heavy wheels.... ;)
thanks Bud, yes I want to lock the rear diff someday with a lock rite locker or something like that. It will put added stress on the gears, but if I drive it right it should help me to get through stuff easier.
I've always wanted a Cherokee for some reason.... always.

bdaddy23 1 year ago
@bdaddy23 how you liking that lock rite locker?? any noises???
ChristianJames6759 11 months ago
@bdaddy23 You can run 33s on 4in lift EASY with a little trimmin, I like the low COG so i run 4.5in + longarms / 33in km2s locked front and rear,
Ive seen 35s on 4.5in with trimming, And not extreme trimming either,
badmunkie513 10 months ago
@01hightechredneck Trim the fenders a bit and you can run 33s on 4.5 inch and same for 31s on 3"
doctorphate 1 year ago
@01hightechredneck a little trimmin and run 33s on 4.5in, other wise 31 or 32 on 4.5in no lift,
When you go above 4.5in it gets more a little more expensive cause you need custom shafts + sye just too be able too drive right
badmunkie513 10 months ago
@badmunkie513 good sound advice. anything over 4.5 and you need custom rear drive shaft and a SYE (Slip Yoke Eliminator) Everything badmunkie said is true, 33's on 4.5" you will need to trim the fenders higher up. bdaddy23 9 months ago
@bdaddy23 That must be one super low quality lift lol
I run 33in km2's on 4.5in rustys short arm, front and rear trimed and can flex pretty damn hard without rubbin,
badmunkie513 9 months ago
@badmunkie513 It was from the previous owner. It was a big coil spacer with some non stock coils, and rear had a shim and bastard pack with drop shackle.
