Here is what precipitated my next, third, arrest as a threat to the safety of the community. Yes - that is the man who accuses me in the attached article of likely committing an Arizona style massacre - directly using references to Columbine, Virginia Tech, and Kirkwood Missouri's City Council. This is EVIDENCE of my terrorist behavior.
You're obviously dealing with small-minded bureaucrats. It's unfortunate and unjust.
However, the way to deal with people like this is in court, not by showing up repeatedly and making demands. They'll only cause trouble. YES-- it's wrong. But you don't actually have a RIGHT to be in City Hall after your business is complete. (And it's complete when they tell you they can't do what you're asking.)
The place to handle this is in the courts, not by confrontation (however gentle-mannered).
DominicMetal1979 - gladly, they were gentle-mannered. Why ONLY the courts? Who runs the courts? The bureaucrat doesn't like the confrontation primarily because he has no control.
The courts are "run" by judges, who are there to protect us FROM these bureaucrats. Sometimes you have to go higher than the local level court though because they all know each other.
Think about this. Watch this video and point out what Grapski did illegally within the City Hall building. And then ask yourself another question - the Manager (Watson) after this has all of the staff in the building at this time write statements - and they say they FEARED FOR THEIR LIVES. Yes that's right - what you see on this video is the basis of claims that the State Attorney himself has referred to as an "increasing pattern of VIOLENCE" by Grapski. Point out the violence if you can.
The State finally drops those charges and what happens. Then Chief Jernigan arrests (and assaults and batters) Grapski - again on trespassing grounds. Where was he that time? He was at the Alachua Police Department attempting again to get public records and in that case to file a sworn complaint.
The State Attorney refuses to drop those charges. Keeps them alive and as a threat for the 180 days and then is forced by Grapski's intent to file for speedy trial (the second time Grapski has had to do this with Alachua and the State Attorney - earlier it was with the wiretapping charge Watson arrested him for when he recorded his conversation openly).
That night the City intends on issuing another trespass warning against Grapski at the Commission meeting (different location). Grapski refuses to participate in the charade (see MillerVision's Citizen Grapski). Grapski is arrested for trespassing at a City Commission meeting. He is carried out under protest and threatened with being tased by the Chief for not actively cooperating in his arrest (which is not the same as actively resisting).
Watson calls Chief Jernigan and asks him to be removed and a trespass warning is issued. On public property for doing public business! The City also attempts to get the State Attorney to prosecute Grapski for two charges - Trespass after Warning (yet it is the warning that is issued here and Grapski leaves) and Disturbing the Peace. The State Attorney has not prosecuted but refuses to this day to drop those charges.
Clovis Watson, City Manager, eventually gets involved telling Grapski he "needs to leave." Why? Is he disruptive? Watch the video. Robbins is more aggressive and loud and Grapski says very little. It is his mere presence that is at issue.
Robbins walks in the back to speak with Henderson. Grapski follows. The moment Grapsi is seen by Henderson he jumps of from his chair and shouts "Out!" and ironically closes the back door!
They then went to the Alachua Police Department to pick up records Grapski requested there and then to Public Works where Robbins had a request. The receptionist at Public Works called Henderson back at City Hall and "suddenly" he is there (when five minutes before he was not). So they return.
Here is the scenario: Grapski is followed in by Tamara Robbins. Robbins used to be a City Commissioner. Both are attempting to obtain public records that have been denied contrary to Florida law for several months. Earlier that morning they were at City Hall and asked to speak with Alan Henderson, the Deputy Clerk, but were told he was not there.

Grapski asks the Chief to accept a complaint for a FELONY violatoin of the public records law by Watson. He refuses. Grapski calls the sheriff.
