hello, i have a windows 7 laptop and would like to download red star os, although, I dont know if it will download on windows 7 and I cant find anywhere to download it. How did you get it running and what should I do?

Sorry, I couldn't help but read a comment regarding the privacy of this operating system. How exactly would that work? How would information be released to a third party, specifically the nk police, by request? and how would using this as a secondary os although that to not happen?

This OS was designed to copy everything the user types in and receives and, upon a backdoor request, transmit this information to the North Korean police. Don't say I didn't warn you.

@ewandougie Yes it is. I downloaded it via torrent. Simple distro in comparison to other famous ones, like SuSE, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc; but that's not a problem to them. At least a simple Linux is better than Vista.

Before the launch of this Linux, everyone used XP and Vista in DPRK.

the icons are original.. the design was based from the standard Windows

so that if they sell it to other countries.. it would be easy to use

You can search about many other distros who try to "copy" Windows. You can even find a software that REALLY COPIES THE ENTIRE DESIGN OF XP and applies to your Linux distro. Why they made a Win-like Linux? Because the majority there uses Windows and it would ease the migration.
