  • Hey when i try to import the skeletal mesh into udk, the model is inverted. But when imported as an ASCII it looks fine.

    Does anyone have solution to this? Cheers lol

  • @RazorX313X They do not use the same engine, therefore it is impossible.

  • @Lio2102 Actually if you take the model from the game into 3ds Max just follow this tutorial.

  • @Awsomeaustin - you can find custom weapons for UT3 but not UDK in general. With UDK you need to create your own artwork.

    Also, its odd that xexiem says to align the model to the Y axis, because it should be aligned to the X axis.

  • why does the gun need bones?

  • @jzoner81 in the unreal engine, if you want something to move, it has to have a bone. if it doesnt have a bone it will simply be a static mesh

  • If you are making a tutorial using models, you should at least give the models you are using to keep up w/ the video.

  • @248patxi read the comment he posted... it took him 70 hours to fully model it... he isn't going to just give it away for free...

  • I am doing the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 part of this video and am getting the error below with the build. I haven't used MVStudio before. It would be nice to see the method of doing the implementation without it, using text editor.

    Error 1 The script output directory is not set. On the Build tab under project properties, check the box to manually set the UCC output directory and set the correct folder. B:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\PixelMine\Unreal­Script.targets 33 6 ARifle_UDK_project

  • I spent the Last 3 days Trying to make a weapon, and when i finshed it I found this Totorial lol :). That gun you made looks so cool, how long did it take you to make.
