  • If this Sigma 70-200 is the latest version with OS, it seems to be around the price of a used Nikon 70-200 VR (version I, not II). In that case, I think I would go for the Nikon.

  • God! I'd hate to be a camera shop owner nowadays.

  • Matt, how smooth is the tripod ring? Do you think it can endure fast and lots of twisting? Without scratching the lens?

  • @muusers from memory is great. And scratching isn't an issue

  • Very usefull.. even for us Canon users :) Thanks.

  • @muusers cheers

  • This is also the HSM version also, might wanna put that in the title.

  • @TehHelpStation Sry, got 10secs in, and its not, didnt think they made a non HSM os version lol

  • @TehHelpStation cheers.

  • Looking forward to your comparison, good job.

  • @boilerjack thank you. Coming very soon (in a few parts)

  • Like most people here, Nikon 70-200 is way too expensive for me. I'm still tossing between this Sigma and the Tamron. Can't wait to see your comparison. No pressure :)

  • @ranhma haha, thanks. Part one coming in the next few hours.

  • I have the Sigma 70-200 (without the OS) and it's pretty nice. I love that it's built like a lead pipe, and it autofocuses super fast and smoothly. However, it tends to be a bit soft at f2.8 in some situations. I'd definitely recommend it over any kit lens, but sometimes I kinda wish I had saved a bit (a lot) more for the real-deal Nikon.

  • could you lock the exposure of the camera when you do the video so that the video does not become dark or bright spontaneously. thanks

  • @sayasangatgembira11 thanks for the suggestion.

  • thanks matt, im hoping that i can buy this lens in future. thanks too for your past speedlight comparison,it helps alot. your the man.

  • @Biemonday thanks mate - comparison coming soon.

  • @Biemonday thanks mate - comparison coming soon.

  • nice videos ! ill wait for that nikonvstamarovssigma...

  • @kabatbut coming very soon.

  • What is written on your hand :P

  • @MrKLMFokker was a to do list.

  • borism68: Good comment.

Sigma has stepped up few notches lately. I've also acquired Sigma’s 50mm 1.4 and the results from this prime are stunning. Looking now at Tokina 16-28 - very tempting.

  • For me this was a choice merely made by the price of this lens, I know for a fact that the Canon MKII or the Nikon VRII will be the better lens, The question is if its 1000$ better for you. I cant justify the expense, so I went the Sigma way, just because apparently IMO the difference between the brand and the Sigma is close enough to make me save the money, At least that is my conclusion after looking at other reviews and comparisons , that is why Look forward to your review :-)

  • @borism68 coming soon!

  • I have been using this lens for about six months now. Very happy with the results so far. Any quality gaps between the uber-expensive Nikon VR version and Sigma can be corrected in NIK Software.

  • @Opatije cool! My comparison coming soon.

  • I am very keen to find out how this compares to the Nikon equivalent. tossing up between the two, I really want the Nikon but its mega expensive..

  • @chriscombe review coming in next days.

  • I can't wait to see your side-by-side comparison. For Canon's 70-200mm f2.8 IS MK II, it's said to be much better than the Sigma equivalent version.

  • @wilbertcs the canon is a whole nother level probley the best 70-200 out there

  • I Just ordered one of these lens, very cool that you just happen to make this video, thanks, I am very excited to shoot with this lens soon, that is my upgrade to my old 70-200 f4L Non IS, I look forward to your full review

  • @borism68 comparison coming very soon
