It soften the hairs and smooth the skin (less cuts). After i put some alcool free after-shave lotion (but not on privates!!!) and let my skin dry (no t-shirt for at least 10~15 mins). This way it clean and exfoliate my skin... less acne + i hate hairs! XD Oil = body acne = unhappy

It depends on skin sensitivity. Of course it needs some good lotion after. I am using coconut natural oil, it works well for me. Also you have to use quality shaving cream and razor to less irritation during shaving, what can makes skin burning.
