Lab rats are bred and born IN a lab for the sole purpose of testing. I doubt any people you know would appreciate being in a like situation. I don't know about the authenticity of these videos, but I do know that the last part ot the description sounds wrong. CO2 is used to euthanize mice and collecting blood directly from the heart is how you get the largest volume of blood, especially from a dead animal. When you do the blood collection with a needle in the heart you don't consider the complications incurred because either the animal is already dead or it is anesthetized and you are euthanizing it by performing the procedure.
Guaranteed none of the animal footage is from food manufacturers. The majority would be for scientific experiments, which not only save lives it also increases our understanding of biology.

I can't imagine what the purpose of maiming and torturing innocent animals is to make a fucking candy bar. There are far better alternatives to animal testing, Invitro Tube test produce far more accurate results. If they were using actual food in their products, the only testing required would be taste testing, so why would anyone be worried about poisoning in a food product?

I don't know about the authenticity of these videos, but I do know that the last part ot the description sounds wrong. CO2 is used to euthanize mice and collecting blood directly from the heart is how you get the largest volume of blood, especially from a dead animal. When you do the blood collection with a needle in the heart you don't consider the complications incurred because either the animal is already dead or it is anesthetized and you are euthanizing it by performing the procedure.

Food companies do participate in animal testing because they want to find the 'next big thing' in food supplements.
Unilever did tests on rats with high doses of green tea, to find out if there were any health benefits.
Since chocolate is supposed to be good for your heart, there are experiments on animals to see if there are any health benefits.

Animal testing is fatally flawed, immoral, unethical and just plain WRONG - especially when it's for the purposes of making CANDY "safe" for human consumption. What a f'ing joke and how disgusting that these poor animals were deemed to be nothing more than garbage by these "scientists".

@fatmkecj no animal testing does not save lives. It is flawed. Do you know there are animals born and rasied for the sole purpose of being tested on? Did you know that most animal testing when in the human trails fail? Do you know how many kids get hurt due to the passed animal testing? No animal testing does nt save lives. They are not built like humans. You want true results.....test on child abusers and animal abusers. Killers and raptist.

@irishdevil80 well did you know if we stopped animal testing 80% of our current scientific studies will go to waste. Also child abuser and animal abusers are human beings and as humans the UN has laws against it, no matter how you try animal testing will continue
If you want see them as equals why don't you get tested instead of them?

It's so ridiculous to me that scientists have to go and test on any animal they want just because they are more 'dominant' than they are. Imagine if aliens or some sort of other dominant sort of being came and wanted to test on us humans? How would we feel? Animal testing breaks hearts.

@natalievonvee No, animal testing saves lives. Yes it's sad that some animals die, but it's better that they die for a cause than for nothing, as every one of the millions of animals slaughtered for food every day does. And no, scientists don't test on any animal they want, they select the most appropriate and least likely to suffer.

This needs to be put on TV as a public service announcement. But then again, that will never happen because big companies will pay to have it take down because they make so much money off of these tests.

I knew it. It's not just from fictional media. Scientists who are too dedicated in research already lost their own humanity, mentally. VizMedia is against animal cruelty, so I'm supporting them and not Mars.
