@mrrushking, these vids are mainly for new mtb riders, not pro riders such as yourself. I see you have high quality videos that you have provided for the mtb community on your page...lol. If you don't like these, don't watch AH.
Awesome video. Probably the most instructional one I've seen. Do you wash your bike as well? Like brush it down? I would like to see a video of that as well as how often we should do so.
hey man u just inspired me to start biking...i am still debating what bike to get.....iam trying ta spend like 3-4 hundred on a bike any suggestions...that dude
@StevenKhdiear, wait a few more months and the local bike stores start selling the 2011 models. I've heard some people get some decent deals form bikesdirect on the net
dont clean your rotors (disc) unless they need it. rotors work better when they have been bedded in. ie. used for a little bit. the resin from the pads fill in the microscopic gaps in the rotor producing a better braking surface. hence cleaning that off after every ride will ensure weak brakes when you hit the trials.
second. 20% is too little sag for your suspension. generally you want 25%-33% sag. otherwise the bike will feel way too stiff and handle weird
@123twan123, there are specific rust removers. Just go to the hardware store. I've used one called 'the must for rust'. Not sure how it will work with your paint though... If you have a larger section of paint gone, you can always try getting car touchup paint...
@retrokiwikromify. I've heard that people have had good success with applying Prolink Gold on and wiping the chain off the next day, that way it's 'dry'. I usually leave it on without wiping... I ride in dusty conditions and the chain really doesn't collect too much dirt...
Candlewax on the chain works really well. Usually for about 200 miles.

@potsnpans1000, I've tried white lightning which is a wax based lube. It works pretty good just after it is applied.

Was wondering what pedals you use? Just discovered your site. Learning lots since I am just starting. Thanks in advance.

@DaBantot4, I'm using Crank Brother's Candy SL pedals. It is basically the egg beater pedals with a small platform.

dry lube is good because it attracts less dust and stays cleaner
retrokiwikromify 1 year ago
@retrokiwikromify Ya, but it sucks for mud and water. If your mudding then go with wet lube, if your going on streets and gravel, dry lube. Easy.
crazyskier537 1 year ago
@crazyskier537 ya i primarily road bike so i prefer dry libe
