Thank you so much for posting this video. I went on a Archaeological expedition in Peloponesos circa 1992. I went out of my way breaking from the group to climb, crawl and see Byzantine sites like this.

see greeeks when we occupied greece we didnt demolish anything still lots of church is in ISTANBUL now. We were waiting same behaviour from greek people in old ottoman lands

in any case this church (Tsigos Monastery)could not be demolished ... because it is in Mani ... and the land of Mani was never occupied by Turks during the Ottoman occupation of Greece .....

You're ignorant of your own history concerning Greeks and other minorities in present day Turkey. Even as late as 1955 when your Instanbul {meaning into the city in Greek} or Constantinople still had approx. 100,000 Greeks, riots broke out against the Greek minority, and much of Greek life resulted in death and numerous Greek places of worship were gutted with fire. There are barely 2,000 Greeks left in Turkey today while thousands of Turks in today's Greece are enjoying complete freedom.
