  • American cars looking good again !

  • That is one Bad Ass CTS-V. A big plus for american cars Oh Yeah !

  • Time to update this. The Hennessey 700 blows this one away. They have an even bigger HP version.

  • If this time is run with 650hp, what does the 700+ hp version do??

  • I'll sey M5 vs CTS-V for me CTS wins

  • nice is the same time in the Z06 is like the 4 door Z06

  • jordank: No, it's people like you that are retarded and killin our own indutry with your pessimistic unloyal attitude. Go drive your Honda azzhole! Cadillacs aren't fast - try saying that next time an '09 CTS-V smokes your boyfriend's M3 queer mobile.

  • Bad ass litle car right there.

  • all you guys are retards, its like john deere making a drift tractor.

cadillacs aren't racecars, thats why half of them are 4000+ pounds

sure its fast, for a cadillac.

    its apples and oranges.

  • the honda can blow at any second and its probly not street legal and will only run 8 sec with a massive slick......plus its ugly as fuck and try to make a turn with the thing

  • all the ignorant fools on here talking about mustangs and civics dont get the point of all this. WORLDS QUICKEST SEDAN. an 8 second honda? yea, fully gutted, zero comforts . How do you even try to compare a one trick pony to a CTS V? I mean seriously. and the guy with the magical 800whp mustang, big deal, Im sure it sounds like crap, sucks up gas and is no where near being comfortable . Sounds more like a racecar. The CTSV shown here is a far from that.

  • nice car, and i'm not hating on it, but can you imagine a little honda or something with 650 hp?

    it'd go like 8 second 1/4 miles.

in other words, this car is just to big to be a "performance car"

    nice though.

  • were talking a purpose built race car. try getting a street legal 650 hp civic thatll run 8 second then drive it all the way home

  • turbodreamst88... that wasn't my point at all. sure its a fast car but there are faster for 1/5 the money they spent on this car.

doesn't matter if you can "drive it home" but for the record, my brother owns a 700 RWHP 800+FTLBS of torque. mustang cobra that he drives to the track every weekend. lets see you beat that with your caddilac.

  • Never heard of a "caddilac" before, but I'm confident the Cadillac CTS-V 'll easily smoke your brother's Mustang Cobra. 1/5 the price? You'd better check your math.

  • 12 gs for an 8 second civic...ok

  • WRONG - do some research...

  • wow. you're smarter when you don't type

  • More like mid to low 10's, unless your talking about a 1500lb tin can

  • drag radials make all the difference

  • too bad it's an auto ..

  • the new auto's shift faster and weigh less than a manual

  • true .. but any manual will accelerate faster than an auto.. that's just how they are.

in general, the new autos sort of offset that extra acceleration you get from a manny, with quicker shifts.

  • not necessarily true. but also, autos are typically heavier.

  • The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V is actually a faster accelerating vehicle with the six speed automatic transmission compared to the manual.

  • this car is just awesome

  • must have it!

  • that car is pure fucking sex!

  • Great work HPE!

  • Sweet, cant wait to see the end product of the hpe700 camaro.

  • OMG I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet 1320 times! Were those stock tires? They look like slicks. I'm always interested in street stock tires because that's all I ever run. Also, what was the outside temp?

  • These runs were on drag radials. Outside temps were in the 70s I believe.

  • crazy fast

  • I may need to change my pants after seeing that..

  • that supercharger sounds nasty!!what are the 0-60 times now?

  • 3 second range

you can always tell the 0-60 by subtracting 8 seconds for the 1/4 mile time. Same kinda idea with 1/4 mile times. just add 8 seconds.. That is average if you read car magazines and pay attention

  • Dude, that makes no since! They claim 2004-07 CTS-V is 4.6 sec to 60 miles an hour! That would place the 1/4 mile times at 12.6! Show me stats on the 1st gen CTS-V running 12.6 stock? You cant! The are low to mid 13 sec cars stock!

  • i said about i never said it was exact, still that's pretty damn close, check specs on other cars and you'll see what i mean

  • They are indeed low to mid 13 sec cars but trap 108-109mph stock...which technically could get you into the 12's with a perfect launch and great driver. I don't know if I'd use the "8 sec rule" either though. Doesn't take into account traction (ie AWD vs RWD vs FWD).

  • this is CRAAAZZYY,i just wanna no what this does to fuel economy
