Despite the fact that Akira himself was pretty badass (I consider him my favourite character from the original despite the fact that he's probably the worst of the main characters ability-wise), his story was always really kinda creepy.
I never found Akira's too creepy - I'd say Cube's is much moreso. Once you get past "liquefied human" (which can at least be seen as "new technology," not just "new horrible way of killing people"), it's too busy doing all these anime things to be taken seriously.
This, on the other hand, has this whole dungeon to creep you out. So, yeah.
Yeah. I was too lazy to go up and copy the same message from the guy at the top, but when I recorded, I forgot about it and checked him on accident. So I just put a picture of the translated line there instead of rerecording.
well that never does help since i think if they're at least on the field, they'd get experience...... and I'd thought you'd use the better healing skill of Kaguya's.
It's not really better. It heals everyone, but it seems to do so with the same low value as Buddha's Stone Bowl.
I think I might have missed some more equipment from identifying unknown objects, but that's sort of lame if Koki really expects you to spend a lot of time doing that.
in the original Live a Live you had to have the doctor refine some items a bunch of times to get the best stuff. Not sure it's the same here, but compared to some of the ways to get best stuff in other chapters, it's quite painless if a bit time consuming.
Yeah, I plan to show it at the end. (Unfortunately, the clue to find it doesn't really translate into English well without me adding some dumb story or something that'd probably make it too obvious.)
Also, there seem to be a few pretty serious bugs concerning it. Hopefully they're fixed in 0.04, I haven't checked yet.
Dude, more Earthbound references. I like this game.
...I had very little trouble with Clumsy Robot, personally...

The coccoon comes from a game called Dai-kaijuu Monogatari.
This place is very known as "Bio Base" and for his traumatic system what uses cocoons to "eat" the villagers slowly.

Haha, not only Live-A-Live but we're getting that same nice feeling we got in Xenogears when they did the soylent shtick too.
this is awesome beyond words. <3

While I agree the original liquified humans thing was slightly screwed up but the whole coccoon thing takes it to another level.
Oh and if Satori was in this game, she could make use of that mind-reading skill.

Glad to see this has been replicated.

Yeah, it's the Liquified Humans thing that gets me. I'm a bit of a wuss, but those people seem to be experiencing a terribly slow death D:
And yeah. Cube's was downright scary for a scenario that is only ever actually dangerous for about a few seconds in total.

Is that what you had to fix?

Certainly got quite an upgrade from Earthbound...
