Hard to believe this magnificent Canadian bass-baritone quit singing opera 35 years ago to explore for gold in the Canadian mountains instead ! Just compare him to Bryn Terfel or Brian Stokes Mitchell in this aria. What a waste !
I heard though that influential people related to the MET have asked him last year to come back once more again and rumour has it that he has been offered a leading role in a new opera to be premiered in New York and London in 2009.
This is good.
But from "The Impossible Dream Burnley FC"----
Please tell me who was the singer of this album, this is the voice and music I wanted. Thanks!
