  • Lighten up Francis!

  • Good review man..just picked up a style CE but wanted to know a lil about this micra...you covered all that i wanted to know..well done!

  • can you take it down??? open it?

  • You said that it might be too bulky with the keychain, that is true. I used to have one w/ my keys but the little ring thing gets loose easily and it fell out and I lost it. So, I got another one and put it on a separate carabiner. Plus, it was hard to use with all the keys in the way.

  • I got mine today. Sitting on my keyring they complement my Charge TTi just perfectly! :)

  • that super mini flathead can also be used to engrave wood because it is kind of sharpened and works somewhat like a chisel

  • you should

    check out the style cs

    killer scissors!!!

  • @cutlerylover when I went to cut a loose string with my new micra, it kept slipping between the blades and took a few tries when pulling it taut. I left some length and tried other multitool scissors and had better results. Cutting a piece of paper feels less precise and the cutting action doesn’t feel as clean. I also don’t feel that subtle feel of the blades shearing against each other like my other models but not so bad that I see daylight. Is this typical for the micra or is mine a lemon?

  • whats a tick im in the woods a lot and never heard of one. ps im in canada

  • picked this up at sears twenty bucks plus tax.....pretty near

  • i had this same knife in red but the paint chipped off

  • Nice video, man.

Ive been thinking of getting this for my first aid kit actually, since its so compact, but im unsure whether or not the scissors are powerful enough to cut through things like denim. Also now effective are the tweezers on it?

  • The newer colored ones (mines red) have the tweezers covered cuz there's a extra layer of metal also where it says micra is laser etched, not stamped like the older models

  • U say u can buy it for 10 bucks.. WOW they sell it my local store for 37 EURO O.o

    Happy you.. ":P

  • @eldervinnie I bought a new one for $68 Australian dollar even it is on sale.

  • @FeelFree3 I just checked on ebay. they are down to about $18AUD including postage and handling.

  • @fartx211 Is it a used one?

  • @fartx211 The leatherman website tells ebay is not an authorized dealer of leatherman products, what is the difference of authorized and not authorized dealer?

  • @FeelFree3 i think the warranty only applies to ones purchased from an authorized dealer

  • nice excellent vid just got it at academy clearence w/the micra for 26 bukz..

  • I thought the smallest screwdriver was an eyeglasses one? If not I don't want this anymore.

Also I went with a SOG Powerlock, and while it says it can cut through US change. . . . it will booger it up. Cut through some steel wire and while it went through it left some nicks.

Still I like the compound leverage.

  • They have it cus that bottle opener is suppose to be a flat head, while the other is for large phillips the full width of the shaft.

  • Ive had mine on my keys for 10 years now i think and it still works just as well as the day I bought it. Love this tool but i cant decide if its worth it to upgrade to the squirt. Any feedback?

  • my dad found one and gave it to me. its nice but one tool on it is broken but its not one of the important ones.(:

  • ive had my micra for years and still works great! next leatherman?? wave or surge for sure

  • dude I have a micra review too.

  • gerysc is FULL OF SHIT. LEATHERMANS are the BEST, hands down, so FUCK OFF!!!!

  • @Horrorshow655321 swisstools arnt bad eithor... ;)

  • Hi man, love your vids!!!, if you are getting a leatherman selway, plz can make a review :)

  • Screw off gerysc. You don't know what you're talking about. Leatherman makes the best multi tools. Victors are pretty good but are not comparable against a Leatherman. So do us a favor and shut up.

  • its ok to have an opinion...the swiss toll sare very nice, but if you go to a multitool forum where peopel deticate all their free time to collecting and using multitools mostif not all will tell you leatherman tools are the best hands down...and no other compoany cna compete with them, this is truie to their designs in my opinion...fit and finish is a different story but they really know their stuff as far as buliding a functionlal usefull tool...

  • Jeff, I do respect and love to watch your videos. I just really disappointed with leatherman.

  • @cutlerylover leathermen are the best definitely

  • @cutlerylover

    Leatherman are better

    heavy duty plier based tools

but even if they tried to make something like a swiss army knife they could not beat victorinox or wenger.

They are both great for their own uses

Victorinox swiss army knives non plier based

    Leatherman plier based

  • You dont know crap

  • @gerysc ? hmm let me think i prefer japan tools / knifes more trust me they got more experience than victorinox specaly if u r looking for a razor sharp knife ofc leatherman / swiss knifes are also sharp but.. think i dont have to explain swiss tool ? did u compare it with MICRA ? its not the same size im no so into the big one tools but micra is pretty sweet and actualy uniq i guess if i need a biger one .. could be possible swisstools lead
  • @gerysc I dont get it I thought LeatherMan was spelled Leatherman not LM get it right or dont say it at all.

  • @gerysc your a fag

  • I really like my Micra! I don't hang it on my key ring though because weight on a key ring is deadly to your ignition switch! The lighter the better where car keys are concerned!

  • their called blister packs

  • And KILL ALL THE TICS!Lol

  • TIS A great vid nd tool Jeff!;P

  • my math teacher has this on his keys

  • i hate ticks, my brother brought some home and they were clawling around in my bed and i was like, you fucking asshole

  • do u think youd ever review a leatherman kick i just bought one its my first leatherman i dnt know much as i researchd the juice s2 but it wasnt available i think its great rock solid idk wud jus like to know more about it im a gun guy so these kinda knives are new for me.

  • I got this knife for free from my dad's company, except it's blue and has his companies name on it.

  • it's not knife

  • is this better than a swiss army MiniChamp knife?????????

  • Yes. The mini Victorinox really arent much use in my experience, youre much better off with a full size (3.5 inch) model like the 'Huntsman' I carry.

  • Yes, the big knives like your huntsman or my handyman have got better and more tools.

    They are great...

I dont know, I like the original swiss army knives

    more than the leatherman tools.......

  • @kulk4471 well the micra is more of a grooming tool and the minichamp is more of a wannabe champ. it is useful but to tell you the truth victorinox just tried to size down their tools too much so some of them are not useful. the micra though has some nice scissors.

  • @kulk4471 no i don't think so...when it come to that size...it's victorinox hands down....

  • If you don't want this on your keys carry it loose it is a great tool to have.

  • Nice review Jeff.

  • Cool i have the same thing i bought it for .50 cents at a garage sale seems like i scamed them now that i saw the price.

  • i have the exast same knife.

    its nice

the cool thing is ma dad works at a company that sends oil all over the eaast coast, and their emblem is engraved on it

  • how many leatherman's have you got?

  • As of right now just 4, these 2 and 2 leatherman Micras...

  • You could put your classic on your keys if you needed it.

  • Very nice, i have a Gerber Mini Scisors on my keys, similar to this.

  • thanks#

  • do you think you could do a vid on your swiss card

  • Sure can!

  • good review, 5 stars.

I believe I bought it for someone as a gift.

  • Thanks! Yeah, these make nice gifts! very usefull, and small enough to carry on someones keys or to sit in a pants pocket...

  • no it was the spartan that you did a vid on

  • i thought you did a vid on the saracen

  • Im sorry I don't know what a saracen is? Is that a different bottle? Anyway I did show a camelbak, but I will amke a new video for you on them, not a problem...

  • not the bottle i meant your camelback pack or your camping pack but i would like a one on your bottle thanks

  • OHHHHH ok...I see, well I will doa video on the bottle soon,a nd a video on ym pack another tiem, I did a video on a maxpedition bag...but I do have a camelbak HAWG too, which I use for camping, the maxpedition versipack I use for everyday use...

  • when will there be new reviews

  • Very soon, I am goign to amke 2 for you, one on the fishersman, and the other on the camelbak bottle as per your request...Besides those two items I am not sure...but there will be many more in the future...

  • its great wen people put free things in a trade

  • Its always a pleasant suprise...I sometiems add LED keychain lights too instead of the victorinox classic...

  • i got one of these in a trade they are great also i own a few p4s and s4s

  • very nice! Yeah these are really nice little tools..

  • I use a Victorinox Manager on my keys; blade, scissors, file, flathead & phillips driver heads, pen (big bonus!), bottle opener & tweezers; so pretty much the same tool set.

Very handy to keep something like this with you.

  • nice, yeah the manager is a similar tool, but obviously made by victorinox like you said, so its their take on the knife...I am not sure which model came out 1st though? The tools are pretty common thoguh so I don't think one company copied the other...they just have similar tools...The addition of the pen is great! I have a victorinox swiss card in ym wallet....I should do a vid on that, lol...but the pen comes in handy ALL THE TIME!

  • Yeah, I don't think there's any issue of copying; it's a pretty standard tool-set for a small tool. Each tool has advantages over the other, so if someone thinks this isn't right for them, but want something similar the Vic Manager (or the SwissCard) offer similar tools in a different form-factor.
