  • what has geoff emerick done

  • ¬¬

  • stupid video....

  • Wholy crap!! That really makes a world of difference man. Thanks dude!

  • I literally stopped to check if my audio was work-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?

  • I wonder if the stereo remaster used the exact same take? Slight difference on Paul's vocal, but it could be the mix that make it sound a bit different. I dunno.

  • Never playing something on full volume headphones ever again....

  • whats wrong with the stereo remaster?why people hatin on it?

  • Actually... the Hey Jude mono mix for the single was just a fold-down of the stereo mix we know today-- so there is NO DIFFERENCE in what you hear - unlike Sgt Pepper, etc. where different sounds and levels were used.

  • @seanswind HA, but there IS a difference! Listen to the piano part after "shoulder..... Na na na na na, na na na na". On the stereo version, the piano at this point (4 notes) is LOWER in volume compared to the rest, and I think this sounds weird. It's not like that in the mono version.

  • oh shit cant believe i didn't clock that before :) now i know to stick to my original vinyl's :)

  • Dumbass

  • retard

  • Stereo was starting, I thought it would be good to put speakers at max volume.. thanks really man, there's coke all over the screen

  • john y u no continue party

  • Stereo is better.

  • hey, what the fuck, it's only in the right channel. stoopid.

  • Whoa! Thanks a lot! Now I finally hear the difference! Thank you so much! And also thanks because now I know that I must always wear diapers because I don't know when I'm going to need them! Thanks a lot man!

  • I'm ok with this

  • hahahah what a diffrent

  • Oh my god. Why didn't I notice this before? Thanks!

  • They sound the same to me. The stereo version maybe a little overmodulated.

  • EMI could use a major soundcheck for stereo...

  • I really like EMI's take on the stereo version with this one....The Beatles have never sounded better! Well done!

  • i still prefer the the mono version by a long shot. the new version is way over the top. much too processed sounding to my ear. i think they got it right the first time.

  • the second version is much much better

  • I think the mono version is better, cause the stereo, just has something to it, that just...well, i can't really explain.

  • sounds the same to me

  • awesome...

  • My life will never be the same again.

I mean stereo version is better.

  • wow you can really hear the huge difference if you turn it up louder.

  • Party's over...

  • zoquete

  • Yeah... stereo is better.

Specially if you hear it really loud... for the detail and stuff.

  • Both are similar but listening to the remastered version on this video i could hear that the reverb of the vocals is more prominant, the piano seemed to have a more crisp sound,i could hear Paul Mcartneys wrist watch ticking and pigeons pecking on the studio roof. Thanks for uploading this video,it was very interesting to be able to compare both version side by side.

  • christ!

    i think i peed a little...

  • Wow...really...alright man well thanks for the vid...it blew my fuckin mind..lol

  • omfg lol .

    wow .

  • Mono just sounds more oldtimey.

  • people you gotta hear the difference it makes in stereo! tiny nuances you just couldn't hear before all over the place! i suggest cranking it up for the second half,it's a little low...

  • Wooow everyone should hear this :O

TURN UP YOUR VOLUME BEFORE LISTENING !

  • Partys over~

  • Im going to disagree i like the mono

  • The stereo, I think, fits the Beatles' style better.

  • I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go with Stereo on this one. I like the bass boost.

  • hmm..... the mono just dosnt seem as good as the stereo.. it such a tough decission though

  • Sorry to say this but when I hear a mono recording that moves me, I have the urge to record it and digitally enhance it in someway to get a stereo field from it. But thats just me. lol (Prob coz I wasnt born in the time of mono)

  • Cool mix, dude.

  • The stereo version clearly doesn't have the same emotional impact as the mono. It's way too muffled and subtle

  • Fuck !!

Yeah I noticed the difference. Thanks for clearing it up to me man. Shiiit!

  • I like the stereo version better, much more edgier.

  • i still can't decide

  • bowowow

  • Exactly, mono is superior

  • I like the stereo version better. It just has an extra "something" ;-)

  • lol

  • tha fuck?

  • factor is a mentally ill person

  • totally agree
