Sorry but a 3 day a week full body workout is the best way to go for an absolute beginner to over 2 years of training. When your starting out your muscles recover alot more quicker than someone liek you which is well advanced.
Hey im an ectomorph and been working for a while now 3 times a week but like chest tricep shoulder bicep etc... but its been working a bit yes i did gain muscle but im still struggling and wanna get bigger faster do u recommend that 5 day you said or compound workouts?"?
Nick, I started cutting for the first time because I found I'm strong enough to just cut the fat down, and keep the lean toned muscles. I'm 160 pounds I'm eating no more then 1000 calories, but my protein intake is 120 split to 5 meals, with 50-100 carbs is this diet going to make me loose too much muscle?
Nick, ur videos are excellent...what I like we're learning right along with u...the progress u hav made is without comparison....keep it up...I see u being a major force in the Fitness World! GUY
I just decided to take my bodybuilding serious and plan to enter my first competition hopefully this year now I have been bodybuilding since high school but obviously no strict diet or trainint regimen but I guess I could be considered big BUT I recently took measurments and noticed that my left shoulder and pec are not up to par with my right side what is the best and quickest way to fix this?
Keep up the great work Nick,, I think you are providing very accurate information in regards to workout splits and diet,, So much of our society is about " this kind of diet" and "that kind of diet" and young lifters are VERY confused about the proper way to build muscle AND lose fat. Keep doing what your doing !!!
There is nothing wrong with a wheat wrap, but I find it a somewhat "lacking" for a full meal. If it were me, I would take the wrap, and possibly a russit potatoe along with it.
P.S. Sorry about taking so long to get back to you.. Your comment somehow slipped by me :)
This is ridiculous. You make a bunch of black-and-white claims in your responses. Sorry bud, you haven't walked far enough in the walk to make such authoritative claims.
What statement have I made that's black and white? I may generalize somewhat to help avoid confusion, but nothing on here is black and white.. I never claim to be a Charles Glass, however, I have been competing for the past 5 years, given seminars, and am signed under a suppliment company, so I can most definitly aid in direction.. I appologize if you are confused by the info :)
Hey Nick... I think what you are saying about your body eating muscle before fat is a bit wrong. In orderto lose fat you must put your body in a calorie deficit. The way your body starts eating muscle is when your body goes into starvation mode. The best way to lose fat is to put yourself in a 15-20% calorie deficit so that your body hits the fat reserves for extra energy and leaves the muscle alone. This is what I've heard from professional trainers. Are you sure about what you are saying Nick?
So I'm 5' 10, 237lbs. Im looking to slim down to move positions in football and become slim and lean. And I would have to eat 4700 calories per day.. To slim down? Im not sure i even eat 3500 a day
Hmmm.. I heard that its bad to do different body parts everyday coz the nex day after the previous workout your body's nervous and hormonal system are not recovered
That is why ou have to alternate bodyparts as I described. If you do chest monday, you do not want to do something using alot of triceps, front-delts, or chest the next.
if theres no other option is it ok to eat white rice with chicken breast because for some reason... i watched a video with the bodybuilder cutler and it seems he chooses to eat white rice with chicken breast in his meals..
As long as you are not dieting or worries about bodyfat, white rice isnt going to hurt, and it is DEFINITLY a good carb to bulk up on. Cutler was eating Brown rice which ironically LOOKS white.
Now way man, you definitly have to LIMIT your calorie intake when cutting, and ultimately decrease it steadily as you improve.. BUT you can not cut off all calories or deprive your self of the amount your muscles need. In other words you should never focus on eliminating cals. when cutting, but instead making them all CLEAN, quallity calories.
I would'nt rely on any sort of milk as a protein source, but instead on its Calcium content. Semi-Skim milk is simply skim milk with a slightly higher "Milk-fat" percentage.
most of my protein comes from meat, nuts, fish, legumes etc but i use milk to boost up my protein. if i need 30g of protein in a meal and get 25 on the plate i will have 200ml of milk to make it 30g.
Always shoot for 20 cals. / pound of bodyweight.. So: 136lbs x 20 = 2,760 calories / day. At 14 it is not crucial for you to get exactly that much.. A little bit goes a longer way at your age.

What about the Abs?
xVincentx26 2 years ago
Abs can be done much more frequently.. Preferrably 3 times a week to start off. Remember that it IS a muscle, and CAN be over trained.

BuckKnifeS30V 2 years ago
Wheat pasta is definitly a great alternative to white. Remember that you don't have to stay 100% clear of regular pasta as well though.
