How to paste a character on a backround correctly

@SpudIllusionPictures The clip I was working on at the time is "Help! I was eaten by a Klexxoian hibiscus, which has been done for several months, and is on youtube (Unfurtunaly, I lost every bit of video data I had last week, so not only does my next clip need to be started from scratch, but the three clips from the video I'm working on need to be re-done :(

I know what you mean... If I didn't have this technique,I would have to draw my character on my backround in each frame, and my last video had over 200 frames, it would have taken forever that way...

What if the background around my character is multicolored?

With this trick only one color can be rendered invisible, so you might want to take the pencil ,or paintbrush,and color in around the character. (Its best if the whole backround(in the character picture) is one solid color, like in my first picture) It doesn't matter what's on the picture you're pasting to..
