  • can osteoporosis strike at any age?

  • My mother has Osteoporosis. Other than calcium and other supplements if you want to reverse it you have to exercise period. Wolf's law state that bones will adapt with heavy loads put on it meaning if you workout with weight bearing training your bones will eventually adapt and get stronger. Other than age, gender, and genetics you can't control, you can control getting off your butt and exercising.

  • @redmustang03 ~ any other advice if you are going through breast cancer & underwent a total hysterectomy at the age of 30? Thank you...

  • thank you

  • We have treated majority cases of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis with great success without surgery and the patient shows high rate improvement within few days after applying PEMF therapy .

  • You can't just load up on Calcium to build bones. 'Further, the calcium/magnesium ratio was about 1:1 in pre-agricultural diets, whereas in modern Western diets it can be as high as 4:1 [Varo 1974]. High dietary calcium can cause magnesium deficiencies, even when normal levels of magnesium are ingested [Evans and Weaver 1990]. Because supplemental magnesium appears to prevent bone fractures and can result in increased bone density [Sojka and Weaver 1995]'

  • I read that you need trace quantities of boron to build bones too - supposedly apples are good for boron.

  • Thank you.

    Nutr Rev. 2008 Apr;66(4):183-91.

    Is boron nutritionally relevant?

boron is a bioactive beneficial element. Much evidence has come from studies that did not require nutritional or environmental stressors or fastidious methods in diet preparation or environmental control.

low boron intakes result in impaired bone health, brain function, and immune response. Thus, low boron intake is a relevant nutritional concern, which diets rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and pulses can prevent.

  • Osteoporosis = spondylosis of the bone structure (=more affinity to get a fracture)

Osteopenia = To less bone material.

  • I took dilantin for 40 years now I have terrbile

and very painful osteoporosis. It is even difficult for me to get out of bed due to terrible back pain. After I get up I cannot bend my back due to terrible pain. Im on Boniva

  • @MrElleanor09 :

Seemed tetraperatite is better option for you

  • @MrElleanor09: Have you tried a naturopathic approach to Osteoporosis?

  • From my study's Upper cervical specific adjustments can help to improve circulation allowing the nutrients to get to the bones. As a result helping to alleviate osteoporosis. Upcspine, thespecific. Be sure that they are U,C,S only care doctors, and that they can closely monitor your improvement to determine if another adjustment is necessary or not.The fewer the adjustments the better. Be cheaked as soon as possible for spinal imbalances. his will help to prevent problems later on in life.

  • there is a mistake in the text, bone is not 99% calcium, bone is a combination of tissues, cells, proteins, blood, nerves etc.

99% of calcium is found in the bone, but that just means that there is very little elsewhere, NOT that the bone is 99% calcium.

  • Videos like this one and other medical videos are now available exclusively for physicians from all the world on symposier .(com) , it is closed for physicians only. They just lunch the site and it's open to share videos and other files; post questions to other physicians, networking and to publish also info of future events"
