Well, it's not the chord progression. .. or melody. .. or really anything from the song "Personal Jesus" other than the vocal, starting at 2:10. I mean it sounds good, but I get the impression the vocalist decided to sing that out of nowhere, and since their music is 1/3 to 2/3 sequencers, the rest of the band didn't want to diverge too much, lest they miss a cue and end up having to "catch up" to the machines. He could have just as well started singing caramelldansen. Woulda been cooler imho.
