@vfxmasterorin Yea, just go to autodesk's website and click download a free trial. It is 30 days. You can either chose 3Ds Max, or 3Ds Max Design (in this vid). The only difference is the UI. Design is geared more towards architects, while max is made more for models and such. You can still do everything in either, it is just a matter of which UI you prefer.

they should make a render engine that renders faster, because if i make a animation with 1000 frames that would take a lot of tame, weeks of render, and i have a really good computer a quad core 9600  2.6 GH, and still slow renders :((

@metallPAUL True, but sadly this product is focused more for commercial work, where they can have all of their computers linked up so that you can have like, 50 cores working on the render, yet it will still take a few hours to a few days to render more than a few minutes worth of animation.

My guess would be french Montréal, english accent considering Discreet (part of autodesk that develop 3dsmax) is based in Quebec. Its like over 70% that speak

french there.

Pvillella74, 3ds Max was originally created by the Yost Group for Autodesk. It was call 3d Studio for Dos which then became 3d Studio Max for windows. The Yost Group was then merged into Autodesk. The Discreet name was never part of 3d Max until Autodesk bought Discreet and they moved 3d Max to Discreet.

As for the comments about the presenter's accent, you should realize that the original company that made 3ds Max was named Discreet and was based out of Montreal, Canada where the official language is French. They are all part of Autodesk now, but a lot of the 3ds Max team is still in Montreal. She gave a great presentation and her English is a ton better than my French!

i forgot about rknowbot inside rhino3d it just so happened that 3ds max is mature and rhino is just starting and there is a huge community using 3ds max that's why in keeps on getting better and better and firms also look 3ds max on your resume they don't even know hypershot or rhino3d

While Rhinoceros is good for the one thing it does - Nurbs, it's not even in the same league as Max. Love to see you try a environment like this in Rhino.... even their own gallery is just product mockups.

I totally disagree... with proper plugins rhino is very powerful in fact Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid Architects used this software and also look for rhino + grasshopper + hypershot here in youtube. rhino also uses maxwell and vray. Their gallery is not mockups because with just 4 months self paced training, I did a lot of works faster than any other softwares out there like skethcup.. what I like in rhino is that it doesn't requires expensive cards and don't eat RAM
