  • Adn Star Blazers under construction due 2015.

  • i think that we should ask japan if we can americans can show this movie in american Theatres to honor all the men who fought in WW2

  • Honor them, the ones who died. Not the idiots who send those to their deaths. She was a beautiful ship as was the Bismark, Arizona the Hood. From one who has tasted the the bitterness of war and has the scars to remind me..

  • (cont) In the vast majority of wars before WW2, if not all, a conqueror's peace was rammed down the throats of the vanquished (The Versailles Treaty is only one example). Between the Marshall Plan in Europe and MacArthur administrating in Japan after WW2, there may have been disagreements between a vast majority of nations, but none of them have gone to war with each other since. 250K dead b/t H&N due to nukes, billions alive since. Your choice. I have said my piece.

  • Gentlemen. before we get into a major tit for tat on the nukes used during August, 1945, remember this. Japan was given the option to surrender BEFORE the Trinity test. The top military officer of the IJA wanted to fight to the last man, woman, and child. Even after Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they wanted to continue the fight. Hirohito finally said stop. Continued on next post.

  • I love this song and I love YAMATO!!!!

  • i want to see this movie really bad!!!!!!!!

  • @SGTSAM101ST damn good navies of ww2 america england japan german

  • @aaron654lo yea

  • great progress sometime comes with great mistake,

Japan sow the wind n hence reaped the whirlwind,

    sook ching in singapore/china etc

but i have great respect for the japan army,

    courage/bravery especially

  • Since the 1980s, historians, economists and economic historians of South

Korea and Japan have begun to scrutinise the accepted view to replace it with a

very different representation, which has a more consistent and factual basis.

  • @afewminutesforyou Protect Asia?? you wrote much. You should learn more. please oh please, not just from high-school text book.

too many asian die for slavery. read "rape of nanking" as a start.

i don't have problem with Japanese (even Japanese civilian didn't know what happen outside their country in WWII), but we have to know the history correctly.

Every single Indonesian knows that 3,5 years conquer of Japan was MUCH WORSE than 350 years of Dutch. (I'm Indonesian).

  • @1204311 actually, they planned to develop east asia, but exploit south east asia on the basis that sea were inferior.

  • @afewminutesforyou actually? wew.. so you talked to the emperor in ww2? Man, you've fallen to their proganda. Yeah, they'd say a good thing when they lost. This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in my entire life.

they simply want to exploit ALL due to lack of natural resources in their country especially oil. they'd love to suck east-asia for oil in ww2.

had they found a-bomb first, they'd use it (same as german). thank God U.S. found it first. reason why Gen. D. McArthur not famous.

  • @1204311 take your own suggestion and read books, you filthy south east asian.

  • @afewminutesforyou

I'm not suggesting. It's the fact.

Same for you (Canadian?), open your book JUST FOR FEW MINUTES.

    (^_^)v

  • A set of poorly verified claims about Koreas economic past emerged rapidly to

become orthodoxy in post-colonial Korea. According to the highschool textbooks

certified by the governments of both South and North Korea, Japans annexation

of Korea in 1910 dealt a fatal blow to indigenous economic development during

the late dynastic period and started three and half decades of economic exploitation.

  • Unfortunately, the Chinese were more preoccupied about maintaining their political power than to raise the standard of living of its own people and what was supposed to be a dream degenerated into a nightmare, with the help of the U.S. who hindered the Japanese expansion, fearing a powerful united East Asian competing against them for natural resources, and helped China in their resistance against the Japanese threat to further the Western imperialist agenda by "dividing and conquering".

  • any soldier ,sailor and pilot from BOTH sides are brave people.people who wud fight all out..leaders are the troublemakers.not the men and women who fought the war..the atom bomb was just a way to chicken out of a longer harder war...rest in peace and full honour men of IJN YAMATO..

  • 戦艦大和、その三千数百名の乗組員の魂は永遠に日本国の守り神である。

    沈没地点に近い鹿児島出身の長渕が作詞作曲したことは宿命と言っても過言ではない。

  • usa killed way more civilians than japan in ww2, and they they did many warcrimes too.... peace, and forever honor for all died japanese soldiers...

  • It's the other way around

  • Japan is No.1! Strong! Brave! Noble!

  • If you have read even just a little bit of Japanese attrocities during WWII in Asia. You will not pity these people a bit. War is unfortunate, but Japan started and 99% of Japanese people supported it. So they deserve the A-bomb, twice!

  • The Western imperialist pigs didn't want Japan to industrialize and develop East Asia into a superpower lead by Japan. They were supporting the Chinese leaders who cared more about maintaining their political power than raising the standard of living of their countries. They did not allow the Japanese to invest in their countries. That is why Japan had to put into place puppet states. Westerners treated East Asians as subhumans whereas Japan treated them as brothers.

  • Japan dreamed of an united East Asian lead by Japan and protect East Asia from the oppression of the Western imperialist dogs.

  • The Pride Of The Imperial !!!

  • i pity them i want to cry.war is misery.but they sacrifice themself for familiy n country.greatest sarifice.

  • Vic 68rt, I don't think that the producers of these war films are trying to glorify the war because there is nothing about war that can be glorified or justified. I appreciate that everyone's entitled to have his own opinion. However, some of your comments are quite sickening. How could you say the A-bombs didn't kill enough people? It seems to me that you keep watching these war videos so that you can continue to enjoy feeling sorry for you. Get a life, saddo!

  • O Great Battleship, May You Rust in pieces!

  • she was the biggest and badest battleship of all a bauty of her time i wvisited the musseum they made to her honour

  • The yamato was a distraction so that american planes attack the yamato. With this over 200 kamakazi planes attacked the 11 carriers and they did heavy damage to some carriers.

  • "In 2009 Jan, all IJN Fleet togather with Pacific Fleet will be in 1 Supreme Commander Admiral MakSF "Singapore" & Vice Admiral Komeijo, with his Air Superiority Cover "UUGC" ~ Flag Carrier KaGa ~"

  • yeah...ok your cool...faggot

  • there are always good and bad soldiers on both sides. what these movies serve to tell is that war affects everyone - the soldiers and their families.

  • Wow, you've really got to chill out. Go grid your axe somewhere else.

  • You make me sick.

just one of those kamikaze pilots had more courage than a hundred of your jumped up american 'marines' did, you couldn't deal with the terrific loss of all your big weapons or toys hahaha so wot did you do you used the most cowardly way out and fuckin nuked the japs.

  • I am Filipino and have first hand recollection of Japanese behavior during WWII from both my parents. I was born and they were raised in Cavite City, a major US naval base at the time. The chance of indesciminant death was always present with the Japanese. The world mourns those who perished at Nagasaki and Hiroshima every year in August. But what of the defenseless civilians of Nanking, Manila and other "open" cities?

  • How many movies from Japan depicted the atrocities their military and government imposed upon the people of Asia and America during WWII? Generations of Japanese were not told the entire truth of what was done in their country's name after the war. They heard a whisper of Bataan, the biological warfare experiments on the Chinese, their military's disregard of the Geneva Convention accords, the forced prostitution of women from defeated countries and so much more.

  • These super battleships were useless against the US. The US had a production capability and they build 4 Iowa-Class battleships which were built to take on the Yamato. The Musashi sank in Saipan I believe and the Yamato sunk on Operation Ten Go a suicide mission. Japana should have just surrendered instead of wasting supplies. Morale was incredibly low for Japan and supplies were cut off and they lost like most of their carriers and navy which mean skilled pilots were lost also. -

  • - They were losing their islands rapidly and Hiroshima was bombed but not because they hated it. America only atom bombed the cities where Japan was getting its most war materials. Hiroshima AKA Kure Docks which pretty much built most of the famous battleships including Fuso and the Yamato and Musashi. Nagasaki was probably just the second military producer. The rest of the citied like Tokyo were just not big targets.

  • We don't forgeten of those men what was to go that mission and knew waht dont't go back, they fighted and died for your country.

  • It was a suicide mission and went to complete failure. The Americans spotted the Yamato heading for Okinawa after 2 hours and they launched about 2 carriers full of bombers and torpedo bombers and those bombers were just fresh. Like as in they were new bombers and very deadly ones. Helldivers replaced Dauntless bombers. Corsairs armed with missles. And I am not sure about avenger being replaced. Plus the battleships armament was sort of outdated.

  • In the battle scene in Otoko Tachin No Yamato where it fires its main guns at the planes were beehive shells. It shot huge shells full of metal pellets (Like a shot gun but bigger and much more powerful). They fired it at the wrong time. If they fired it at the correct time then those american planes would have been a goner but they did not so that is why not a lot of american planes went down. Also good song.

  • czy można gdzieś zdobyć samą muzykę , jest super

  • "Nobody is good or bad, they or we neither a destroy or protect, only those fought before will understand what is best for them,,..

  • esta musica eh maravilhosa, eo filme barbaro, os produtores estao de parabens

  • I can't stop crying! great song!!

  • I like the song too and the film which I recently got from Ebay since it was never released here in the UK.

  • wonderful song ,for you ka...u

  • この歌いいです!

  • This film simply HAS to get an English (subtitled) release. The story of Yamato must be told, especially in the old Allied countries where the mistaken belief that the Axis forces were nothing more than evil demons is still present.

  • It already got that. Long time ago.
