Very nice! Perfect. I have made several bags and did not know how to make the flat bottom. I just tucked the fabric in. Love the style. Can't wait to make a few with my scrap walk in closet.
That was wonderful. I am sewing bags for a school fete and these will be perfect as I can mix and match materials. Thank you for taking the time to post this.
Wow, I am truely impressed, I love a man that can sew! That is just awesome. Unfortunity, I have a large family and I would have to make several of these. But how great would this be for the library!
Yeah if your fabric is of the lighter weight then what the bag can carry will be limited so try and go for a heavy weight fabric and reinforce your handles at the point where they attach to the bag itself. hope thats of some help. :o)
Actually woke up this morning to do the shirt and it was great till I hit a brick wall- without the proper lxwxh on the sides and bottom mine didn't come out so good... but I like it in a weird way. It is all twisted & contorted. Do you have the measurements that you could pass one, please! I am sure it would be a help to a lot of people.
That was a great tutorial! I will try to make one myself based on your bag and post it but I doubt if I will be able to do as well on the tutorial so I will just refer others to your page if I decide to post it.
Oh, that's ok then. I can work it out. I'll probably use one long piece for the sides and bottom, and two for the sides. It will be less stitchery too since I don't have a machine. :)
Thanks so much for giving me a nice memory; you just reminded me of a time when my mom attempted to teach me how to sew. What a disaster that was. I did however learn that I have no talent for it. My sister on the other hand can sew suits... Great video and video theme... How to...
lol at 6:32 I could've swore you said "shit.. bollocks"?! lol! Great video and yay for bags 4 life! I'm trying to be more Green lately.. your bag looks ace!

Very well done! I have been looking for a good tutorial for a few weeks now and finally found one where I don't have to cut 100 peices of fabric.

oh and can you make the bag without a sowing machine?
rachsoflybruhh 2 years ago
Yeah easy enough :o) the best stitch for that would be back stitch for strength :o)
