oh aswered my own question. i have a '78 standard Am in natural really love it. friend of mine plays a 72 deluxe and it is also one i covit so to speak ha!
@TheChesquitoo yes, a lot of people say the strings-thru-body construction has alot to do with tone, especially when it comes to bass response or sustain.

The camcorder microphone circuitry includes a hefty dose of compression in addition to that which the amplifier has.
