Excellent! im impressed with what you have done.Im not sure if they make it but I guess you could benifit from some kind of regulator to automatically adjust the system so it runs how you like it.
whats smartgauge? strings as in panel strings? my panels are all paralleled into a common bussbar .. any panel that is switched on simply increases output to the bank, some more than others .. it would be a big deal if the panels were series'ed but they are not :)
170W kit as in panels? theyre actually closer to 150W average and i got the cells and misc items on ebay, glass from 'doitbest', aluminum for frames at onlinemetals .. my other long boring vids in this series explain how i put them together, but the '170' was about what i have in them dollar-wise for each panel ... sorry for the confusion :)
- thanks FreedomForYouAndMe .. the panels are home-made about 170/unit X12 installed, 2500 watt pure sine inverter ~500, 8 golf cart batterys ~650, misc wires boxes connectors ~200 or so .. realistically adding in things im sure i missed around 4000$ .. add in the solar well pump and its close to 5 grand for a totally off grid and comfortably sustainable system ..
everything come out alright?...Bwhahaha
Nice solar system, must be nice to be able to go offgrid if needed.

i guess you can find smartgauge by yourself then. because your two strings are unbalanced.

I've been trying to offer a view of a url that shows battery balancing, but hyperlinks seem to be banned.
