even though im suddenly a mirasty fan, gillies won that. it wasnt a landslide win since mirasty knows how to throw punches and take them, but gillies still got in more, especially with that early flurry.

the sport needs more fights like this, especially at the major level. too many fights are a punch or two, then grappling.

i dont even know if mirasty even landed anything cuz gillies has the height advantage, it seemed like he was hittin shoulder and air cuz gillies had a good hold of his arm sleeve, so mirasty couldnt get a full swing. Gillies landed some good hits in the beginning

Mirasty is a pylon out there on the ice. ill give the credit where it is due, he is a brawler and can take punches really well but there is absolutely no way in hell Gillies would shed a tear over a punch

Gillies and Mirasty are the same skillwise. Gillies just seems to not be able to play a full season. Very injury prone.
