Great song. Timeless quality. Sass is a real artist. Memories with this song. Thanks for posting. I am just burning all my CD on itunes and just finished importing "Tell Somebody" album.
I agree. The video is hung up on the "strange(r)" element of the song's title. I would like to hear this song sung with an string orchestra behind the vocals.
But the vid..... It's one of those "high concept" things you still see around, especially in stuff from Jann Arden. It detracts so greatly from the song it ruins the mood. The vid is best when it focuses on Sass..... too bad they didn't do a faux-live version.
calvintoronto is right. The concept aspect dilutes the power of the video. Sass is beautiful and the camera loves her. As a whole, the video comes off as a clumsy film-student project. The images of those carny/circus folk take away from the intensity of the song.
reminds me of 9 1/2 weeks where she (kim basenger ) went to see the old man about the paintings , sitting on a bench in the path nothing left to do but wait for your time to come .
Definitely under-rated. I don't care what the blokes say, Sass Jordan est une Montréalaise (she is a Montrealer)! It's not where you're born that matters, it's where your heart is!
Thanks for posting this still very nice video, even after all these years. The song is just as beautiful. Definitely my best Sass Jordan era.
I suppose Erik Canuel directed this video as well (since his brother stars in it)? Who would have thought he would be the director of the biggest Canadian blockbuster 15 years later...
I love this song, too. I thought I was the only person who liked her music back then. And judging by the number of views and comments, I don't think many people appreciate her work; either through ignorance or bad taste. Their loss.
Sass is brilliant. I love all of her music, but this song i hold very dear to myself because I remember the intimate memories that went with it for me when it was on the radio in the 80s.
so amazing

Maybe she suffered for two reasons: 1. she is Canadian 2. she isn't selling sex(yness).
She belongs in our collective conscience as a World Class artist.
