  • I love theys type of videos 747-200/300 great plane always will be. but its sad to think that the 747 classics are slowly but surely going away as the 747-400 grows bigger and soon the 747-8 will be coming in if you agree with this comment and love the 747 classics plz respond by the way great video 5 STARS. plus i subscribe to you plz post more stuff like this

  • @KimiHamilton123

    it was filmed pre 9/11

  • One of the best videos I've seen :) Thanks for posting!

  • heathrow is the coolest airport

  • damn right

  • i love this video were is it film heathrow terminal what

  • The spectators area is no longer open, as Heathrow grew the spectator area shrunk, this video is a bit of history, you wont be able to view aircraft from the roof of a UK airport ever again.

  • that is not finnair

  • Thanks to everyone that has viewed this video, it's nearly reached 30,000 views.

  • ahh the good ol' days at heathrow.. god i miss them.

  • Looking again on this video is awesome. Love watching it every time. I wish I could visit Heathrow again, and all those beautfiul 747s. I wish they would never be replaced, it is the jumbo I will always love - spesh in the Qantas, BA and Virgin liveries :) Cheers again mate!

  • Thanks mate, it's a pleasure, I had some good times, didn't realise how historic the film would be. it looks so old now.

  • what was JAl doin in British Airways "the best" parkign spot?

  • which airline is that aircraft with at 3:00?

  • It could be a Lifthuansa but I'm not too sure! Could be anything really

  • I think it's finnair

  • This aircraft is an A321 The Airline is Finnair

  • Yes, that's old colours Finnair A321.

  • Nice! I really wanna do plane spotting

  • how things have changed

  • Brings Memories Back

  • i went to LHR in 1998 and some of the things i saw are on this vid. it brings back memorys that visitors center was the best shame its closed

  • But the chap in the shop on the roof used to be driven crazy by all the people asking for the concorde take off and landing times.

  • Is it me or did that british airways Boeing 747-400 Engies sounded werid

  • well they are rolls royce.

  • Just amazing, Concorde take-off was great- so FAST! My first trip to LHR this March, shame they've closed this spot :(

  • just to think 5 years exactly from that day the lobdon bombings happened :(

  • Those were the days! I doubt that gallery will ever be re-opened, mean old BAA

  • Good video! I like the Heathrow airport, and I like London, too. I was there with an airbus this summer. Awesome city!

  • Nice video!

  • The United 744 is the old 'greyscale' United livery. I think UAL now uses blue and white on its airplanes.

  • translift, yes, it's probably a 747-200, rarely do you see them except as cargo haulers. Cool video especially those 744's(747-400's)and the Concorde. I can't flightspot here in the states thanks to terrorists :( I used to be able to go to both Newark and Philly when someone I knew was flying out of there.

  • That BA concorde is bloody gorgeous. I love Heathrow Airport, my hometown port.

  • I live near Heathrow and miss Concorde taking off.

  • this video rocks with the 747 and the concords

  • Great video, nice capture of all aircrafts. The 747's are awesome! And wow, those concordes did go VERY fast!

  • DAMN!!! HOW MANY 747s DOES THIS AIRPORT HANDLE IN A DAY?!!??!?!???!

  • Awesome Video. I was there on July 7th 2000 on a Boeing 747 British Airways headed for Jfk Int,

  • holy shit that EL AL is a fuckin dinosour

  • It's rather poignant to see Concordes coming and going, just a few days before the Paris crash changed everything.

  • F****** terrorists, only if it still open :'( I was young when it was and I didn't have any knowledge of planes then

  • Manchester is a great place for spotters and the amount of aircraft that they have been reciving is great such as PIA 777 and many more! I'll always love Heathrow though, I only live 20 minutes away.

  • Nice collection of airlines and aircraft at heathrow, Such a shame that spectator area is now closed.

  • When I was a kid my Dad took me a couple of times and as a teenager I popped along to check out what was going on, the facilities got worse on each visit, with air conditoners and other support equipment for the airport taking up all the roof space.

Thank goodness for the Manchester Airport spectator area, they really get what it's all about.
