Even his "easy" songs are really hard for me to pick up. I know people say chord music is easy/ simplistic but damn he had a way with chords that makes his music both nice to listen to and difficult to learn.

definitely. He throws so many melodies and countermelodies within the chords themselves that it is brilliant. Listening to the songs you dont even realize it because he pulls it off so well.
