thats not true! Saint Mesrob Mashtots invented the Armenian alphabet in 405 AD. There is one theory that says he was influenced by the Ge'ez alphabet used in Etheopia. It's origins are uncertain but believed to derive from the Hyksos people who in turn were Hurrians (thats right like Urartians-Armenians). This is speculation though but fact remains our alphabet reached maturity long before Azeris even existed wo what are we talking about?

I use Ottoman-Armenian because that us the official terminology for Armenians living during the Ottomans. Despite what many Armenians would want and apparently Azeris also we do and did have a lot relations with ottomans. During Ottoman empire Armenians lived relatively well it's known amongst Armenians and Turks, it was only with the rise of nationalism in Europe and the fall of the Ottoman Empire that our relations worsened to hatred.
