I already knew how to read the tab, but I'm just wondering how to make it sound louder. Apparently just putting your finger there and taking it off without strumming isn't all to HOPOs.
no! the whole point of doing a pull-off is not to strike the sring, because you dont hear the sound of the pick and it becomes smoother, legato. When doing a pulloff your picking hand has the time to move to another string for example, while you still can play anothrt note..makes you faster.

yes, it is more like a flicking motion. It is a tough thing at first but you will easily get it after a while of practise and when your fretting hands get stronger...I, myself only play for 7 months now and practised that a lot and I feel pretty comfortable with pull offs. Practise those! A cool one to define your playing.
