The rodent in my icon is a rat. I didn't let the rat out the door, he lived in a spacious cage and got some nuts of his own :)

A few years back I had a tame squirrel in my backyard. How tame? I opened my back door and watched this episode with the squirrel in my lap...and I fed him some hazelnuts throughout. When the episode was over, I just opened the door and the squirrel went back outside. Not saying you should invite wild animals into your house, but not saying you shouldn't either :)
