The Ginyu Force's irreverance and flamboyance is actually pretty terrifying to me. Think about it, the only person more powerful than them is their employer, and any of their opponents would have been crushed pretty much instantly (see how easily Recoome curb stomps Vegeta despite him doing the same to Zarbon). So they create this elaborate song and dance routine (literally) just so they can drag out their victims' suffering and get some fun out of it. They're top level sadists.
