Ha i live near here.... this is a great road to ride on but those idiots on bicycles are in the middle of the lane and i have almost hit some of them.
Nice north to south run on the "8" as my riding buddies and I refer to it as. It's by far the holy grail of rider/driver roads in wisconsin, kinda like an extended version of the best bit in the southern region of the state in Devils Lake, the South Shore road has 12 corners packed into a short maybie 1/8th mile of road up a bluff, sadly, usually covered with leaves, moss, dirt, and other debris that tends to hamper hard riding. Either way, one of the best roads in the state by far is the "8".
I live in the area, and this is a beautiful drive, but the turns are sharp. A friend of mine is a first responder, and said there have been several cyclists who have been surprised and gone through the guard rail. If you go, enjoy the ride, and travel safely :)
Stop at Top Dawgs in mindoro and have a burger. 108 to chose from.

Just took this ride this weekend 6/21/08. It is by far one of the best rides to go on in Wisconsin.

That road is awesome, I just found it by accident by taking a wrong turn trying to get to Sparta.

That's really considered a highway? Awesome. I love the way the road bends and turns like it does and it looks lovely to ride on on a nice day.
The highways in new york, though, are a little bit different.. haha.
