A Federal Judge cannot even overturn a State Law. This is ridiculous. Prop 8 was passed by the majority of voters of the State of California. It is a STATE law that is guaranteed protection under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Interfering with State laws is not reserved to the Federal Government. The Attorney General of the State of California has the duty to overturn the decision immediately. If he refuses, then the Governor must take that responsibility.

A Federal Judge cannot even overturn a State Law. This is ridiculous. Prop 8 was passed by the majority of voters of the State of California. It is a STATE law that is guaranteed protection under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Interfering with State laws is not reserved to the Federal Government. The Attorney General of the State of California has the duty to overturn the decision immediately. If he refuses, then the Governor must take that responsibility.

And the gay marriage ban , which has already been held up in federal courts in other states will be reinstated in California.

A Pyrrhic victory. The gay judge will be overturned in Appeals or in the end by the Supreme court.
The judge, because of him being gay, should have reclused himself since he directly benefits from his own ruling.

Firstly; marriage is a RELIGIOUS ceremony. Not a union ordained by the state, but by GOD.
Whom ever marries such couples, is either totally negelecting their religious convictions, or being FORCED to marry these people or face concequenses from lawsuits.
