@frumpydarling only in my arms. Some people think all dogs can swim, but a woman pushed her pit bull in the pool and she sunk to the bottom and looked up, like "Why Mom?' We were screaming!!!

Yep, my westie was that way too. Acted really tough but would have absolutely wigged out had he actually fallen into the water! Lovable little guys.

my westie snowy hates water = but loves the beach its strange he behaves in our garden but at the beach hell start digging and doesnt stop till you pull him out, then hell start digging anouther hole lol

My Westie hated water too. When I'd put him on the washing machine so I could bend down to get the shampoo before giving him a bath in the sink, he'd always jump on my back and climb down. He never even wanted a drop on him.

I knew he must have REALLY liked my brother when we went to a lake once and my brother went in and he decided to go into the water to get to my brother. He was his number one favorite person.

We have a pool in our backyard, and he likes to go everywhere I go(hes my little bodyguard).

and wherever I go in the pool, he starts to whine a little...hes sad because he wants to go in with me, but hes scared. hahah

my westie hates bathtime when my mom ori say "coconut time to take a bath" she runs off or hides then when we get her in her little bath tub (the sink in the laundry room) she tries to get out she just hates water.she even cries!

My old westie would have been straight in there. He loved to swim. My two little one year olds haven't gotten deeper than their bellies. You've got a lovely little Westie. :)
