  • I think they got the audio mixed up with that documentary about the Moog Synthesizer. ;-)

  • Dubstep producers...We're waiting...

  • I felt a disturbance in the force...

  • I don´t belive this. It sounds far to perfect, to synthetic...It´s like something from a Vangelis or Jarre CD..I mean. If theese are sounds from animals were are all the background sounds??

A pro sitting in a mixing studio couldn´t do this any better...

  • like a digital voice

  • we need a remix !

  • Interesting. Rather than separate chirps and clicks at different frequencies as dolphins do, the seals seem to scan the entire frequency range in one long sweep at regular frequency intervals from high to low. The dolphin method seems more controlled and efficient whereas the seal method is always comprehensive.

  • Apparently planking has arrived at the antarctic.

  • if i wanted to freeze my head and listen to seals i'd stab my ears with a pencil and then eat ice cream as fast as i could

  • Better than dubstep

  • so these people are on dope?

  • seal? no heidi klum!

  • Amish people can be scientists?

  • Sounds like Pink Floyd eh? I have a new favorite animal.

  • Seals love Pink Floyd

  • swimming modems!

  • *Aliens*

  • Please give Werner Herzog credit for this clip.

  • @jlg395 - There is a crawl at the end of the video that credits Herzog and the film. I just added this information to the description, though, since you mentioned it.

  • @OutsiderSupreme I didn't watch all the way to the end. Thanks for making that change, I just thought it was the right thing to do. Rock on good sir!

  • Seal step?

  • Wheres the drop?

  • they had a taste of dubstep :P

  • I wish the author would at least have had the courtesy to note that this clip is from Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World, an excellent documentary.

  • @Schizophonic66666666 It's in the credits at the end of the video. 1:45

  • @Schizophonic66666666 - There is a crawl at the end of the video that credits Herzog and the film. But you won't see this if you don't watch to the end, so I added that info to the video description as well. :)

  • 0:55 nice save... work, lol.

  • 1:20 white people :/

  • where's the dubstep remix?

  • This planking craze really needs to end. 1:08

  • Welcome to the Twilight Zone!

  • The entire time I wanted those people to just stfu so I could listen to the sounds

  • Oh it's the new M83 track!

  • Life's the same, I'm moving in stereo.

  • So I get high and remix Seal calls into dubstep while laying on the ice. Best job ever

  • i am just waiting for an awesome beat to kick in!

  • use seals to communicate with the aliens

  • What is George Lucas doing in Antarctica?

  • they are using complex sonar to navigate/communicate. seals obviously need some credit

  • someone should make a remix to this vid hahah

  • the drop never came................. :(

  • Drop??

  • I bet you could play this to the wizard of oz.

  • dubstep ;)

  • Encounters at the End of the World by Werner Herzog, really great documentary, it's more about the people who live and work in Antarctica than biology and science, very entertaining.

  • Holy shit

  • still better than dubstep

  • guess what? nobody owns antartica........GET HIGH AND LISTEN TO THE GROUND!

  • "Hey, what're you listening to?"

"Oh, nothing, my ear got stuck to the ice."

  • Herzog's a legend

  • I was like "why all the stoned comments?" aaaaaaaaand then i saw them all laying down on the ice with their face right up to the ice -- i rofled.

  • @nchs09 Yeh same! hahahah

  • can you grow weed in the antarctic? IF SO, i mosdef want to live there

  • Wow, this better version of George Lucas is actually fascinated by some natural sound effects.

  • Aliens...

  • Im SOOOOOOO high

  • These guys are all stoned .

  • @User10111993 if i was on a giant, isolated piece of ice i would be high as fuck too lol

  • @User10111993 HAHAHA DRUGS

  • Underwater seals are the DJ's of nature

  • All the synth sounds you can hear are the seals, just amazing. People spend a fortune on vintage moog synths and these animals do it with their throats! Awesome...
