your wrong. h22 is much more expensive. plus u cant just drop an h22 in a civic and expect it to fit.
i say any b series motor would always be a good swap on a civic with a single cam. but single cams are good motors too. u can make them stay with or beat gsr's

Find a regular old d15, find yourself a vtec d16 head, thats a mini me. Search mini me on google. You will get a much better answer than anyone on here is willing to give you.

This is with ± 11:1 CR. The intake tube was made out one piece of 16 gauge 2½ inch pipe and runs from the TB to the rear of the RH headlamp. That made it a lot louder then with the stock airfilter and tube in place.
There's no way you're going to pull crazy numbers with only a D15 :( , but sounds very nice! Make the best of whatcha got!

@marth21 Stock D16 intake, cam and exhaust mani. Only a 2½" tube which runs from the TB to rear of the RH headlight with a K&N style airfilter.

depends on alot of shit obI obd II but youll need a p28 ecu vtec head Y8 manifold and youll have to splice some wires! and get a new head gasket

all you have to do is remove the oil jet on the block between cyl. 2 & 3 with a screw then slap the vtec head on wire for vtec then blam

D15B2 (DPFI) is different. It uses a combo between OBD0 and OBD1. You need to change the wiring loom from the ECU to the Engine.

When VTEC kicks in, you can really hear my home-made intake-tube with K&N Filter.
The car now has a bigger exhaust and pulls much better in higher revs especialy on the free way
