Great band! Saw them at the Hatfield Poly back in 1981. They just made the hairs stand up on te back of your neck.. The were special thwn and still are now. Shame they never made it big as they really deserved it!
Can listen to this over and over again...great memories of when rock meant talent!
@1963chinablue I wish I had seen them live back then. At least, I saw them last year at Keep It True festival and it was one of the best concerts of my life. Thanks for your comment, cheers!
I actually saw this band before anyone else did, I was at their first ever rehersals in the 70's, they made the hair on my neck stand up even then! They are certainly one of the best live bands I've ever seen & I've seen thousands of them!
One of my 10 favorite's song and bands, unfortunatly the 2 album was a bad, decadent (Change of Heart), but the 3rd is an inspiring, an excellent concept (Vox in Excelso).. This is a REAL progressive rock!!
What an amazin LP this is - I remember getting it on the back of Tommy Vance playing the 'No More Lonely Nights' single one friday night! One my fav albums of all time!

Even back in '81, Saracen was a different kettle of NWOBHM fish - this wasn't exactly Tank or Tysondog here - and they never topped this debut album.
