Cyril's is way better, his was at speed, off balance, under pressure, surrounded by tigers players and being tackled by them, and i just plain don't like dale thomas.

Thomas is a bit overrated, not through any fault of his own he gives 110% and is a brilliant player, he just got too much hype as a rookie through the media juggernaut that is Collingwood. I would have Rioli in my team any day, he lives up to the hype and is an amazing talent and will be for years and years.
As for the Pies outperforming the Hawks this year, good on you. Doesn't matter if you come 2nd or 16th in our game. Pies have one flag since 1948, Hawks have 10 since 1961.... eat a dick!!!

i didnt see hawthorn get into the finals this year when they won the premiership the following year and even though collingwood didnt win it we came back from 8th spot to 4th spot and looks like the guy you call a cunt Dale Thomas! He is in the preliminary finals.

Rioli's goal, in my opinion, was easily better. Rioli had to run thorugh a heap of tigers players, including Richo if I'm not mistaken, and juist kick the ball otherwise he would have been pinned. Dale's one the other hand, good as well but he had no one around him to attempt the smuther or anything. Simply, Rioli's was better.

I was at the game and was sitting in the best spot to see that goal, it was brilliant. The noise from the crowd around me was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced!
Interestingly, Leon Davis' goal won Goal of the Year. Maybe it would be a good idea if a panel of judges decided the result. Those one eyed pies supporters have ruined any faith I had in the public voting system. Leon's and Thomas' goal shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as. Rioli's!

you'd have to be a Collingwood supporter to think Dale's goal was remotely close to being better. No comparison whatsoever.
Cyril's was through traffic and under pressure. Dale's was nice on any given day but, to compare this is ridiculous.

Who cares whether you think thomas is a pretty boy or if you hate the pies or whatever, just judge the goal.
Riolis was way more freakish - crumbed, broke 2-3 tackles, snapped off balance from a tighter angle with more pressure.
Thomas had much more time to balance and line it up.

cyril rioli is by far the better player. But dale thomas's goal was better because it was actually a deliberate attempt at goal. Rioli just grabbed the ball, busted through the pack and kicked in hope.
