Great video. I picked up some knife techniques. It just shows you that you don't really need much dialogue in a cooking video. So many chefs just state the obvious, like "I'm now putting the onion in the pan". Well duh.
@Flarpy123 You know a ratatouille originally is not supposed to look good or fancy it's just a stew of mix vegetables and it just tastes good! But like any french food it can be fancy like in the movie ;)
@pauloosorio and he cut the root end of the onion before the dice... not that I'm an expert, but it's slightly suspect especially seeing that white coat.

I am surprised that the Aubergines went in last! Possibly because the entire dish stewed for a long while which will render the cooking time of all the vegetables irrelevant. Ratatouille tastes great any which way! Thank you for the vid.

If you want more taste, you can add olives (with stones, it is better! ). It is a family personal recipe, not very traditional , but good too ...
