No. you are almost right but not quite. There is NO public option in the Senate bill. But they still have the mandatory requirement to purchase insurance. So forcing you to purchase insurance through mandates and the public option are two separate political issues. So right now more republicans are in favor of this Baucus bill because it has no public option yet still has the mandates. Which means guess what? More money for the private health insurance industry. Now do you understand?
Yes but it is STILL a public option. Now what you are saying would be true if it was NOT a PUBLIC OPTION government run insurance policy but actually was NOT THAT AT ALL but just an increase of taxes while there is NO public option. As far as Israel and Iran that is quite possible.
"we can't just blame republicans people the Democrates (who happen to be jewish)"
No that comment makes you a racist. Generalizing all Jewish people or even saying it a way that makes it looks like only Jews oppose Obama. I wouldn't say you're a Nazi but I would say you're an asshole.
who gives a shit about the deficit! people are being ruined and are dying because of this health care debacle. fix the deficit later--you still might have some people alive to pay it down! republicans are for republicans--it's a fact, it's a given--let's get over them and do something right for the citizens of this country.
I wonder if Virginias 7th District electorate will ever understand that Congressman Cantor is merely a shill for his Republican Party handlers? Or if the Local Democratic Party will ever get its act together and cultivate a viable opposition candidate to Cantor?
wow. cantor again proves he's an ignorant douche. the public option has been attacked daily to the tune of $2.4 MILLION! and the spineless jackasses in congress have been feeding like pigs at a trough. the public healthcare debate has been a huge windfall for the 95% of congress that are unscrupulous, nonrepresentative scumbags
First of all, isn't it the democrats that are going out of theire way to get republicans to join in as well? and who is it that reject everything democrats come up with? who make up dumbass lies about death panels and call the democrats for socialist. Republicans are the ones that has to prove they are worth corporating with and not just hooligans, or knuckle dragging neanderthals.
The title of this video is a deliberate lie. The polls today show that Americans overwhelmingly *WANT* a public option. One poll was 61% in favor and the other was 65%. 7 out of 10 physicians want a public option. The Conservatives will do anything to block healthcare reform and protect the profits of the greedy...as they always have. It will be their undoing.
Gee, the poor rich. This guy is so full of it. Republicans have always refused to work together. They can't speak the truth to save their souls, but it does get them elected.
More lies and scare tactics. The real reason the "public option" is a bad idea is because tax cuts and increased military spending have once again gotten us deep into debt. When will we learn?
He has to say that. He can't go on TV and talk smack about his boss. His boss is the insurance companies. I know you think he works for the American people, but hush child.
that's what I'm saying! Cantor is hoping to spew lies so some ignorant Americans will believe him. He just wants people to think no one is for it. Uninformed society is easier to manipulate.
I hate these guys who are against any government involment in healthcare but want to "save" medicare. This guy was probably voting to cut medicare just last year.
It is a national problem. But one side is DISPROPORTIONATE worse with the muddying up the debate strategy. When it comes to the public option compare the rhetoric from the dems to the republicans. If you find 5% of lies from the dems it is not a parallel to 90% lies from the republicans. Because they know the facts are not in their favor so they have to fear monger. Except when it comes to war. That's bi partisan fuckery
The most recent poll has shown 61% of Americans want a public option. Americans haven't "resoundingly rejected" a public option, but apparently the insurance companies & their paid-off minions in Congress, like Canter, have. They don't represent Americans; they represent themselves & their corporate interests.
Really? I suppose. Most of those that I speak to want the Single Payer Option. The Insurance companies should not be making a profit on the health and wellbeing of the Commons.
thats only because Americans are stupid enough to think a public option alone will solve their health care problems. Take it from someone with universal health care, it is no sollution in and of itself, just a part of the sollution to fix your broken system.
I am an American living in Canada. I can see the problems with the Canadian health care but it is a load better than most lower-middle class Americans have. My Mom had to file bankruptcy when her husband died of diabetes and they both had insurance. The insurance would not cover much of his treatment nor were they going to cover his transplant that he didn't live to receive.
I agree that not being able to afford the help you need is an issue you need to tackle, but my point is that is just the first battle, with many more to be fought. The next is delivering solid health care to all, and that is something we in Canada do not have. We started covering insulin and injecion costs in our health care in Ontario within the last 3 years. Before that anyone in that situation would be facing many of the same challenges, and that is what most Americans do not realize.
in short I'm not against universal health care, but I get upset when Americans talk about it solving their problems when we have a shitload we still have to address and we have had this system for over 30-40 years. I guess what I am asking for is intellectual honesty and few Americans know enough about health care reality to separate it from the fantasy.
I wish they would stop misrepresenting Republicans as ALL Americans. Republicans and opponents to Obama have rejected the public option. And why do they keep ignoring those poll which show the Americans still support the pubic option?
I take that back.
You're not only a racist, you're an ignorant racist.. and illiterate.
